things were really starting to look up for chrissy rodgers. team usa was unstoppable, winning game after game. they were still undefeated which hendrix loved. the more they won, the more money he made.

she was having the absolute time of her life. she'd been sightseeing, traveling, and best of all playing hockey every night. but the one thing she just could not get her mind off of? charlie conway.

the two had been sneaking around together for a few days now, and she's never been happier. it was almost like she'd finally found the missing puzzle piece she'd been looking for for the past two years..only it was right in front of her the whole time.

"are you guys ready for the big game tomorrow night?" connie asked the two girls sitting on her bed.

"yeah, we can take them." chrissy nodded. "eh, i never play anyway." julie shrugged.

"i think you should talk to coach. you're just as good as goldberg, you deserve to play." chrissy suggested sitting on the bed next to her.

"i agree. you didn't come all the way here to sit on the sidelines." connie gave her opinion.

julie paused for a moment thinking about it, "you know what? you're right, i'll go talk to him. thanks guys."

"good luck." chrissy called out as she watched the gaffney girl rush out.

"what are you up to later?" connie asked the girl from across the room.

"i've just got uh..these plans." chrissy was a terrible liar. she couldn't make up a good story to save her life.

"what is up with you lately?" connie smirked not believing her one bit. "what?" chrissy furrowed her brows.

"you've just been acting weird." connie shrugged.

"what do you mean?" the rodgers girl squinted.

"you're always disappearing at random times, and you've just been really happy.. and not that you being happy is a bad thing or anything, it's just that you kind of have a gloomy personality."

"well for the happy part, i'm just excited to be here. and i've been disappearing because i've doing a lot of practicing. we're gonna need as much as we can against iceland." chrissy explained letting out an audible exhale.

"well i'm glad." connie smiled standing up, "i'm gonna go hang out with guy. see ya."

"see you later." she waved goodbye.
