Zack looked at me his eyes straight into mine and said "you have no idea what mom did, do you?"

"huh?", I was confused what did he mean by that "Zack what are you talking about what did mom do?"

Looking at Zack, I could tell he wanted to tell me the truth and what I mean by that is he wanted to tell me every little detail as to why they hadn't been there and why our mother played such a big role in that telling. 

"Miya I want to tell you everything but now really isn't the time, I'll tell you one thing tho, had we known where you were even when our mother was still alive we would've come for you, cause we never knew where you were our mother made sure of that, every second she was alive was about hiding you, and yes learning that our mother had died was essentially what made us more desperate to find you - but that doesn't mean we haven't tried before".

I was starting to put a few pieces together, dad had married another woman, my mom had been hiding me from my dad and because of these factors, I knew that my memory about mom and dad and about how happy they were together, may have been completely wrong. 

I still hadn't answered Zack, he had made it very clear that he wouldn't tell me more now.

I thought our conversation was over but then Liam looked at me from the side "Miya I want to know, I actually I think all of us want to know, how you could survive on your own after mother died".

Truth is I didn't want to lie this time, these men were my brothers they are  family, and yeah they had been holding back information, but I could tell that their reasons where valid.

"you're right how can a thirteen year old girl survive on her own?" - "the truth is she can't".

All of my brothers were looking at me intensely, Liam and Zack had their arms crossed while Niko and Xander had their elbows on the table with their hands under their child - they really wanted to know.

"You see there are not many places a little girl can go when she's all alone - I guess you can imagine why"  - their faces had moments before casually seemed interested in my story, and now worry was written all over them.

"Don't worry nothing bad happened - I met Luca, he became my brother"

"What do you mean by that?", Zack sternly said 

"I mean what I said he became my brother, meaning he did everything for me that you guys weren't doing.

Was it way too mean what I just said yeah it probably was, but was it the truth - yeah it was.

Zack who had been processing the information looked at me "Isn't your brother Luca going to be pissed about you moving here tho, what will your brother say about that?", Zack was irritated and mad. Mad at himself for not being there, and irritated that I would call someone who isn't my brother, brother.

"Luca won't be mad, I'm sure he would actually be happy, but truth is I wouldn't know"

This time it was Niko questioning me, "well havn't you told him that you left New York" 

"Luca is dead so I'm not really sure how I could possibly tell him"

Even though they had seemed irritated abou the fact that someone else had been my brother and how they hadn't been there I could tell that if they had the chance to meet Luca they would tell him how grateful they were that someone had made sure their sister was safe.

"I'm sorry to hear that" it was Zack "I would've liked to meet him"

I nodded, "yeah you would, for some reason I think you and Luca would've been great friends".

"So how is Evelyn" I asked trying to make the conversation a little less sad.

"She's actually very kind", Niko said "- "tho Ava can be really irritating probably cause she's still a teenager"

I simply nodded I still found it weird how dad and mom may not have been so happy together as I remember, and how dad had married someone else.

"heii øhh, how long has dad been married to Evelyn?", "seven years", Xander said.

"Well everyone" Zack said "I think Miya is tired so lets end dinner here also Miya tomorrow Niko will start teaching you selfdefence, and I promise we'll tell why you need to learn it very soon"

From Zack's voice I could tell he knew about some kind of danger in the future I would be facing and I would need to be prepared, what he didn't know was that he was looking at "the Lily" but I wasn't going to tell him that.

And with that our dinner ended and I slept in a huge bed. But then realisation hit oh shit! I forgot to tell Jasmin that I wouldn't be able to visit ChildCare as often anymore.

Okay so this chapter was a bit short truth is, I wanted it to end, where it made sense for the chapter to end and by ending the dinner, I thought it made sense to end chapter as well. I really hope that you guys are enjoying my story and if you are, feel free to comment and vote<3
