2. William Lavender

William Lavender POV;

I was sitting at my desk waiting for the private investigator to finally tell the news that I had been waiting for in ages. Miya's mother had died years ago, and if Valery had died when Miya was thirteen who had taken care of Miya since her mother died? I also fear what will happen if the Italians get to her first - if she is alive . Luckily we had not gotten any signs she was alive, but  neither is there anything indicating that she is dead.

I had to find out where my daughter was and the only way I could do that was by hiring a private investigator. I heard a knock "come in" - it was James the best investigator in the US, also the priciest not that price really matters.

"I have news about your daughter sir" - "and what are the news James?" clearly I was irritated the past months even though James was the best of the best when it came to investigating, this investigation felt like it had taken forever. I don't normally show my emotions much, it's not something you do in my field but James has a bad habit - he had tendency to waste my time buy talking very slowly.

"Well I have tried to find your daugther under the name Miya Moore and well I have found her. Apparently she does not attended college and has not attended highschool either, but she works at ChildCare a place for children who need support and well it is what you could call a place where they can come and receive help from adults and advice or just converse with them, the place is in New York"

Miya Moore I thought to myself, so she had taken her mothers last name. When hiring James I told him to look for a Miya Lavender or a Miya Moore.

James then showed me a picture that had been taken of Miya while working so I could confirm if that was her. Even though last time I had seen her was when she was five, I knew that I would recognize my daugther even if seventeen years had passed since I last saw her - no doubt about that. 

"Sir there is one more thing you should know. Miya does not officially work at ChildCare her name isn't registered but Miya's colleagues use the name Miya Moore, she does not exist when looking at the system, the weird thing is she dosen't have a cover name either"

"Well James then how the hell, has her job accepted her to work with no identification?" "Sir I honestly and im sorry but I dont know the answer to the question" - this is weird I thought what is she hiding? "James send me the address of where she works", "of course Sir".

It was soon time to tell my sons that I had found their sister, since they heard that their mother had died they had been worried sick about Miya. So when we sat at the dinner table I told them the news.

I knew that Xander my second oldest son who had hated the idea of letting Miya live with her mother, would be thrilled to hear that we had finally found his sister. The others would of course be happy as well but when him and Miya were children they were very close and Xander had from a very young age always felt extremely protective of his sister compared to his brothers. 

"Sons I have important news to share" I took a breath "I have talked with James today about the whole investigation and Miya has been found" - Then there was silence everyone stared at each other "father" I heard Niko say in a harsh tone but his tone changed completely as the gravity of the news hit him "are you serious father have you really found her?" - my sons have always lived a life where ones voice must never shake but Niko's voice was shaking when he asked about his sister "yes we have" - I nodded.

Its only a matter of time before they learn what really happened to their mother.

uuuhhh things are getting interesting. What will happen in the next chapter? Will Miya or should I say Lily meet her brothers, and what is this field of work that her father and brothers work in?(I know that you guys already know ;)
