"There's a baby in there." Carl suggests.
"It's a dog." Michonne quickly answers, that lie wouldn't even fool Rach. I miss her, I miss them all.
"My dad let me name her." Carl looks at her. "Maybe her and Andre are together somewhere." She smiles.
"Come on, it's almost noon. Your dad will wonder where we are if we're late and he'll have a nice surprise with Darren showing up."
"It's always a nice surprise to see me." I smirk, Carl rolls his eyes at me.
We get closer to the house only to hear gun shots and Rick running to us.
"Go! Go!" He yells, we all quickly run off. Eventually we end up on some train tracks, I was walking next to Rick. "I'm guessing you were alone?" He asks me, I nod.
"I lost Rach when I went to help Carl back at the prison."
"That was you?"
"Yeah."
"Thank you. You kept him alive before I could." And because of that I lost my sister, I blame myself but I also blame him a little I guess. We stop at a sign that was on the tracks. 'Sanctuary for all. Community for all those who arrive survive.' It read, that's a bit suspicious if you ask me.
"What do you think?" Michonne questions.
"Let's go." Rick leads the way, this isn't going to end well. I just hope my family see this same sign, I sigh. I've never missed them as much as I do now, I wish I knew if they were safe.
-Megan's POV-
Me, Daryl and Beth were running through the woods until we finally reach a road.
"Can we take a quick break?" I ask Daryl, he nods. We sit at the side of the road for a small rest, in the distance I see a big object. It looks like a car, not moving but still. "Is that a car?" I question, I stand up. Daryl and Beth follow my lead, it's already getting dark so it was hard to tell if it was a car or not. We make our way to the object, as we get closer it is indeed a car.
"Maybe it has some juice?" Beth says.
"Come on." Daryl says, I go to the front of the car and try to get it working by hot wiring it but nothing. "Let me try." He says to me, I move out of the way and he also tries. But just like me, he also had no luck. I hear groaning and see some walkers coming closer to us. "Come on, in 'ere." Daryl leads us to the boot.
"You're serious?" Beth looks at him, he nods. She climbs in first, then me and finally Daryl. Thankfully the back seats were down but even so it was still a tight squeeze for three of us. Daryl ties the hood so no walkers could see us, I watch them go past through a small gap. I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't scared, their groans get louder as they get closer. I feel Daryl shift his crossbow to aim at the hood just incase.
"You okay Beth?" I whisper.
"Yeah." She whispers back.
Daylight finally arrived, I undo the knot Daryl had done. Slowly I lift the boot and check the surroundings. Good nothing around.
"All clear." I say and climb out with the other two following.
"Let's get what we need an' go." Daryl tells us, we collect some rubbish and head back down the road and back into the forest. "Ye' okay Darlin'?"
"No, none of us are." I reply, he sighs. "I'm scared Daryl, I've never been away from them this long before. It's scarier knowing that I have no idea where they are or if they're safe."
"I know, we got te' keep goin' though." I could tell that he was a little scared too, even if he won't admit it. We arrive back to the little camp we set up the day before, Beth starts the fire while I set up some noise traps using the rubbish we collected. After a little while Daryl cooks the snake that he caught, he gives me and Beth a piece.
