When we reach the aisle dad was on, the ceiling breaks through and down drops hundreds of walkers into the building.

"Shit." I mumble as the walkers slowly get up from their fall.

"Yeah, uh we should probably go now." Glenn panics.

"Bob's still stuck. Help him out of 'ere." Dad commands.

"We'll get the others." Michonne looks for the others.

"Dad!" I yell as I see walkers getting closer, he looks to me.

"Darren! Look out!" Before I had time to react I hear a loud snarling right by my ear as something grabs my arm. Shit. No, it can't. I didn't have time to get my knife, I try to hold it off. Hoping dad would kill it but he was too far away and dealing with his own walkers, I struggle more to get the walker away from me. "Darren!"

"If you shoot you could hit Darren!" I hear Glenn yell to dad.

"Do it! I can't hold it off much longer!" I yell in frustration, within in seconds my prayers were answered. The walker was now laid helplessly on the floor, I look to who had killed it. Zach.

"Thanks." He nods as we continue to kill walkers, the more we killed the more showed up.

"Hey!" Bob shouts, he was still stuck on the floor under a racking, dad climbs on top of a table trying to kill what walkers he could. I look at the ceiling, a helicopter looked like it was about to come crashing down any moment. Glenn kills a few walkers in attempt to help dad as he was the closest.

"Daryl, go!" Glenn yells, Zach starts to shoot more walkers.

"Let's get Bob!" Zach says to me as we rush to help dad get Bob, me and Zach lift the racking while dad grabs him.

"Come on, time te' go." Dad shouts to us, I follow behind him and Bob. But that's when I hear a loud scream, I turn around to see Zach getting bit by a walker.

"Zach! No!" I cry out, I try to get to him but Glenn grabs me.

"We can't save him!" Glenn says to me. I give Zach one last look before running out of the store with the others, as soon as we get out of the store the helicopter falls through the ceiling. I stare blankly at the store, Zach was dead. He's gone, I told him nothing would happen to him and now? He's not here. I failed him, I didn't want anything to happen to him.

"Darren, come 'ere a sec." Dad says to me, I follow him away from the others. "Ye' okay?"

"I'm fine." I really wasn't.

"Darren."

"I said I'm fine."

"No. Yer not. Look I ain't no good at this stuff I know, but I'm tryin'. I ain't ever been good at sayin' the right thing, but yer mom. She helps a lot really, she helps me especially when I 'ave no idea what I'm doin'. I'm jus' tryin' te' help ye', I want te' be a better dad te' ye' an' Rach." I sigh, he really wants to get better with being a parent, I know that. But I'm like him, I have no idea how to say how I feel. I'm not used to it, I stopped trying after I found out who my dad was.

"It should of been me who got bit, not Zach. I almost did until he saved me, I owed him my life yet I couldn't save him." I begin.

"Hey! Don't ye' dare say tha'."

"It's true."

"No it's not."

"Why isn't it? Zach was a nice guy, he was better than me. He had a life ahead of him."

"Listen te' me Darren. No one is better than anyone, Zach wa' a nice guy. But so are ye', he didn't deserve te' be bit neither do ye'. Ye' 'ave a life ahead of ye' too Darren. We all do." I look at him, since when did he known what to say to me? I'm used to it off mom, but dad? This is new and honestly, I kind of appreciate it. Dad is finally here, he's being the dad I always wanted. "Please don't say ye' wish it was ye'."
