While Tessa and Levi follow Shadis to the training yard, Tessa sees the number of Cadets in this upcoming graduating class. It was strange because her class size wasn't this small unless Shadis was weeding out the bad ones. Tessa shakes her head, "Keith, has this always been the amount, or did you have something to do with it?" She asks in a low whisper, and Keith chuckles, "All I did was give them the right of passage, and these were the ones that haven't cracked," He clarifies, then looks at her and Levi, "Let's see if they will now that you two are here." He smirks, and the duo shares a look. They both roll their eyes because they know Shadis has a point. With one from the Underground and no military training and the other graduating at the highest rank of the Cadets and known to be the one to drag the former Commander of the Military Police out by his hair, it made sense for Tessa and Levi to be the ones to make the Cadets crack. When they stop at the center front, Levi is on Shadis' right, Tessa is on the left, and Kip is in the middle. While they waited for Shadis to start, Tessa could hear the Cadets murmuring about who their mysterious guest lectures were. She was still surprised there was this many left, considering how many she was used to. Tessa rests her hand on her hip as her sky-blue eyes observe the crowd, but she isn't the only one. Levi is doing the same thing with his arms crossed and stoic face remaining the same. Both were looking for the Cadet, the one Shadis had bragged about in his letter, yet they were unaware of Kip wagging his tail as his amber eyes found someone in the crowd.

Suddenly, Shadis clears his throat, and the trio changes their focus from the crowd to him, "ATTENTION!" He yells, which makes the Cadets salute him instantly. Levi huffs, "Well, they're quick on their feet. I'll give them that." He mutters, and Tessa narrows her eyes at him, "How much of an ass are you going to be this week?" She asks, and Levi smirks, "You'll have to wait and see, Tess." He answers, which makes Tessa roll her eyes. Shadis puts his hands behind his back and begins to pace, "Now, as all of you can see behind me, we have two guest instructors for this week. I've asked them to come here, though they have been busy with their roles for the world and teach you what it means to be part of the military for Paradis," He starts before stepping to the side, "You lot better not make them regret this, or you will be dealing with me." He warns while pointing to the crowd. "Yes, sir!" All the Cadets yell as they remain in the salute pose. Seeing the Cadets like this reminds Tessa of when it was her and Hange all those years ago. She still couldn't believe that's been seven years since she graduated from the Cadets.

After hearing the clarification, Shadis nods, "At ease, Cadets," He orders, which they do, then he turns his attention to Levi and Tessa, "You two ready?" He asks, and the duo shares a look and nods. Shadis takes a deep breath before looking away and facing the crowd in front of them again, "Cadets, meet your guest instructors. One has risen to the ranks without any military training, as the other graduated at the top of their class and continues holding the highest score," He explains as Levi and Tessa remove their hoods, "Their names are Captain Levi and Captain Tessa. But we only know them as Humanity's Strongest and Graceful." He presents, and the crowd gasps when they watch Levi and Tessa join Shadis' sides. Among the group, Armin, Eren, and Mikasa quickly share a look and smile before they turn their attention back to Shadis. They were among the few who weren't surprised to see Tessa because they saw Jean's shocked face. Eren raised a brow at his fellow cadet, wondering why Jean was surprised to see Tessa. When he looked away again, he saw Tessa looking at everyone, but she still had yet to spot him, Mikasa, or Armin. However, Kip never took his eyes off them.

Shadis puts his hands behind his back again as Tessa and Levi join his sides, "For those that don't know who these two are beside me, I'll let Captain Tessa give a brief explanation," He says, then looks at Tessa, "They're all yours." He grins, and Tessa smirks, "Perfect." She whispers as she steps forward. While Tessa looks around the crowd, she takes a deep breath, "Good morning to all of you. As Instructor Shadis said, Captain Levi and I are part of the Scouts and in charge of the Special Operations Squad," She starts explaining, "Now, I don't want anyone thinking because we are here, we are going to force you to join the Scouts. We are here to guide you in becoming better soldiers whether you join the Garrison, the MPs, or if some of you want to the Scouts." She reassures while putting her hands on her hips. The Cadets nod as they watch the dark-haired woman pace in front of them, taking in everything she says. Tessa clears her throat because it is time for her to explain how the Scouts work, "Now, I will speak for the ones wanting to join the Scouts. If you desire to rise to the ranks like Captain Levi and I did, you better be ready to bust your ass. And I mean in teamwork, agility, strength, grace, and courage. It's what we strive for when we go out on expeditions." She says, then sees Levi step forward with his arms crossed, "You need those to face the harsh reality outside the Walls. Otherwise, you'll be nothing but Titan shit." He says in a deadpan tone, and Tessa nods while trying to hide her smirk at Levi's abrasive manner, "Everyone thinks it's easy being in the Scouts, but it's not. We face extreme conditions every time we step outside the Walls, but we don't let it stop us because we have shed blood, sweat, tears, and everything to get back out there and do our damn jobs," She says, then sighs, "Which brings us to our next point. Levi?" She asks as she turns to face him, and he nods, "For this week, Tessa and I will be running the drills we do with our Squad and the rest of the Scouts. As she said, get ready to bust your asses or knuckles. Take your pick." He remarks, and Tessa blows a puff of air out, which fans out her bangs, "One more thing. Shadis told us that someone is close to passing my score, and I can't wait to see who it is because I've held the title for seven years now." She grins, and the crowd begins quietly chatting among themselves.
