Over the next few days, Levi and Tessa continued working with the Cadets on their training. The routine of ODM drills followed by hand-to-hand combat was how they started the day, which the Cadets heeded after the second day. Tessa and Levi were impressed by how quick they were to catch on to their teachings, pleased that this wasn't a mistake for them to be here. Though the Cadets' progress in Tessa's and Levi's training wasn't the only thing that went unnoticed by one of the Captains, there was also Tessa's missing watch that she would wear on her right wrist. Levi had noticed it the other night when Tessa returned to the cabin. He wondered where it could be because he's never seen Tessa without it. Instead of seeing a leather band resting on her wrist, now was a white ribbon tied perfectly to cover the small tattoo. Levi asked about it the following morning, to which Tessa explained that the clasp finally broke but never went on as to why she covered the tattoo with the ribbon. Levi decided not to push it further and returned his attention to the Cadets.
While pleased with their progress, the Captains didn't forget to keep Erwin up to date with it. They correspond with their thoughts, to which Erwin returns with the updates of what was happening while they were away. They are relieved to learn that Hange has kept her promise of keeping their squad away from crazy titan experiment ideas. However, she still hasn't let it go for them to capture one, which makes them both wonder if Hange would ever let it go. The answer rallies in Tessa's mind as she and Levi lie on the bed reading the letters from Erwin and Hange. They woke up a few hours earlier than they intended but couldn't go back to sleep. So they were doing what they knew best, enjoying each other's company and doing paperwork until training time.
While Tessa reads the added letter from Hange, she shakes her head, "You would think after the thousand no's Zoe would let this dream of hers go." She confesses, then rubs her temples. Levi smirks while rubbing Tessa's back as she rereads the letter, "You know better than anyone how Shitty-Glasses is, Tess. She's like a toddler that doesn't understand that word." He remarks, which causes Tessa to hit his leg, "Even though I agree with you, you don't have to be such an ass about it, Levi." Tessa counters while shaking her head again to read more of Hange's ideas, unaware that Levi has a scheme of his own. With Tessa distracted by Hange's letter, Levi places Erwin's letter on his nightstand and then moves in to kiss Tessa's neck.
Like every time before, Tessa moves her head to the other side to expose more of her neck for him, which Levi smirks against her skin, "Everything alright, sweetheart?" He huskily whispers, and Tessa groans, "Mmhm." She answers while trying to read the letter, hoping Levi doesn't progress this teasing further, but she is wrong. Levi moves up her neck to her jawline and lightly nibbles, "Are you sure?" He asks, and Tessa quietly moans as she tries to adjust her body, "Yes." She quickly answers, still adverting Levi's burning gaze of his silver orbs. Annoyed that Tessa has yet to look at him, Levi decides to proceed further by slowly squeezing Tessa's thigh, hoping it will send her over the edge, which to his pleasure, it does. Tessa moans a little louder as she bites her lip, surprised that she doesn't taste any blood, "Levi." She growls, and Levi smirks, "Yes?" He answers, pretending to be innocent, but squeezes her thigh again. Tessa releases a shaky breath before finally looking at him, "Cut. It. Out." She says without blinking, and Levi raises a brow, "Cut what out?" He asks as he takes the paper from Tessa's hand. Tessa narrows her sky-blue eyes at him, "Don't act coy with me, Levi. You know what I'm talking about." She clarifies, to which Levi chuckles, "Actually, no, I don't," He answers, "Why don't you show me instead, honey?" He challenges while leaning back on the bed.
Tessa watches Levi sit back against the headboard and rest his hands behind his head, which makes his entire muscular torso tense up, and he has a smug expression on his face as he watches Tessa bite her lip, "See something you like, beautiful?" He asks, and Tessa scoffs as she looks away, hoping the crimson color will fade. This sexual tension between them has been killing her, yet Tessa doesn't want Levi to know because of her damn pride. She wasn't going to be the one to crack first. Even though Tessa loved being a tease to Levi, which he adored, this time, Tessa was too stunned to do anything. 'Fuck, what can I do to give Levi a taste of his own medicine?' She thought, but it was too late to consider anything now because Levi had pulled her hair, which made her moan again, "Fuck." She curses before Levi makes her crash her mouth into his. Levi smirks against the kisses and pulls Tessa away, "Say it, and we will, Angel." He whispers, but Tessa shakes her head, "Not gonna happen, honey." She argues, but Levi pulls her back in. He kisses Tessa's jaw, "Say. It." He orders, but Tessa shakes her head again. Levi clicks his tongue before grabbing her jaw and narrows his silver eyes at her, "Say it, Tessa Renee." He orders through gritted teeth, and Tessa's eyes widen at how Levi said her middle name and gulps. Fuck. Is she going to crack now? Seeing Levi's smug expression as he possibly thinks he's won changes Tessa's mind. However, she can't Levi catch on, but how? Suddenly Tessa gets an idea, hoping it works for the little scheme.
