An Hour Later
Tessa's POV:
Over the past hour, the rain poured while Tessa and Levi cleaned the office, with Levi dusting the bookcase and Tessa reorganizing the books. While cleaning one of the books, Tessa notices something peculiar about the stack, causing her to check the spines, only to realize they're out of order and in different positions. How could've she missed this detail? Tessa sighs before slamming the book onto her desk, "Shit!" She curses before falling into her chair to rub her temples while staring at the bundle of texts scattered across her desk, angry because she should've noticed something was off the last time she cleaned her office. After hearing the book slam on the desk, Levi freezes before looking to see Tessa rubbing her temples with a stack of books facing in one direction, causing him to put the duster on the shelf before walking over to Tessa while pulling the bandana off his mouth as he kneels beside her, "Hey, what's wrong?" He asks while taking Tessa's hand, hearing her sigh before resting her head against his chest, "Tess, talk to me. What's wrong?" He asks again when lifting her chin, but Tessa huffs while shaking her head, "It's stupid," She replies, "I just noticed that all of these books were out of order or were facing a different way." She explains while pointing at the stacks in front of her.
After hearing Levi say she had dozens of books, Tessa didn't realize she had so many until the piles grew across the room, with four on her desk, five surrounding it, and three by her couch. So she suspects it's why she may have missed the detail since numerous texts sprinkled across the room. Levi weakly smiles while shaking his head, "Hey, it's not stupid," He whispers while pushing a fallen strand behind Tessa's ear, "I know that you like your things organized, and this isn't, so you have every right to be upset." He reassures her before kissing Tessa's temple, making her smile as she looks at him, "I suppose. I'm just surprised to notice it now, and it's been like this for a month," She replies before pinching the bridge of her nose, "Zoe must've done this when she and Isabel 'helped' clean my office. I should've known it was a ruse to play those pranks on us." She admits while shaking her head to fix the pile again. While Tessa works on the books, Levi realizes his clothes started missing a month ago. Around the same time, the girls helped Tessa with her office since they decided to prank them because of Levi's and Tessa's desire for organization and cleanliness.
Suddenly Levi sees Tessa stand up with the organized stack in hand, only to almost drop them, which makes him click his tongue and shake his head, "Tch. Give me those, Brat," He demands as he takes the pile out of Tessa's hands, but before she can argue with him, he taps her nose, "You can organize them for me to put on the shelves." He says, making Tessa scrunch her nose before rolling her eyes, "Fine," She agrees before winking at him, "At least I'll get to admire your muscles while you carry them." She teases before turning around to sort out the following stack. Luckily, the second pile is barely out of order, so she can already give this one to Levi. While Tessa works on the next one, she hears the books hitting the back of the shelf before hearing Levi's footsteps behind her. Levi wraps his arms around her waist, causing Tessa to freeze when she feels his cool breath as he nuzzles his face into her neck, sending shivers down her spine before feeling the smoothness of his lips touching her skin.
Each kiss slowly makes Tessa's knees buckle, which causes Levi to tighten his grip, "You need to behave, pretty girl," He whispers while kissing her neck before stopping at her ear, "Otherwise, I'll show you what else my strength can do." He warns before biting her earlobe, which causes Tessa to moan. While kissing Tessa's neck, Levi quickly grabs another stack of books off her desk, causing him to pull away to put them on the shelf, only to hear Tessa whine, "Levi! That's not fair," She whines before turning around, "You can't do that to me!" She hisses while crossing her arms, making Levi raise a brow as he tilts his head, "Oh, I can't?" He questions, and Tessa nods, "Yet, you did the same thing this morning. You teased me first, so I'm repaying the favor." He corrects, making Tessa turn red before sticking her tongue out only to see Levi laugh, "You're lucky you're cute because I can't stay mad at you." She admits before turning around to work on the third pile again. While Tessa works on the stack, Levi leans against the desk before putting his hands in his pockets, "Two things: I'm not cute," He starts before kissing Tessa's cheek, "You're the cute one." He finishes while taking the stack over to the bookcase.
