Epilogue

Their nightmares had come to an end. Eda and Serkan were able to breathe and enjoy their married life in their new home as they prepared for the birth of their daughter. The Atakan family was a distant memory as far as they were concerned.

Eda and Serkan had a small gathering for family and friends shortly after they moved in as a housewarming party. They wanted to thank everyone for all that they had done for them through the course of the past year and through the investigation. Eda couldn't have managed Serkan's absence without Pyril, Engin, Ferit, Aydan, Seyfi, Ceren, Melo, and Leyla. Serkan would never have gotten all of his memories back without their support and their tough love when he needed it.

Burak and Hakan were now a part of the extended ArtLife family having signed on as Security consultants. Fifi and Burak were a couple which surprised no one but delighted all especially Eda because it meant Fifi would stay in Istanbul. Serkan was able to unveil his contribution to the garden. The University had taken a sketch from Serkan and transformed the ceremonial scissors that saved Eda's life into a fountain. As Fifi said, Serkan could be oddly romantic. The gesture brought Eda to tears, first she laughed so hard that Serkan had actually done what he said he would do and then second that he was truly her romantic robot.

Their first official large party was to celebrate the birth of Pyril and Engin's son Can, born a week early on October 3rd. Pyril told the tale of Engin passing out in the delivery room and how the doctor and nurses were so concerned with him they almost weren't there when Can came out. Engin thought she exaggerated, everyone thought that Pyril was probably pretty spot on.

With two months to go Serkan surprised Eda with a newly designed nursery. Serkan always told Eda he didn't do the inside design but he made an exception for their daughter. He and his anne worked to create a special room for his sweet baby girl, not over the top but just perfect.

The team had a final trip to Antalya planned, Pyril was staying home with the baby but Eda was going because the water feature was being installed at the ecological hotel. It took some doing but the project finally got back on track. Pyril worked right up until her delivery on the interior design before she had handed it over to Aydan and Seyfi. Eda was working on the finishing touches of the landscaping.

Engin and Serkan had been working with Burak on the security aspect for all ArtLife architectural projects. Burak and Hakan had been working closely with Engin on the Antalya project so they would both be making the trip. Melo and Fifi would also be joining. Fifi because Burak invited her and Melo for work, Hakan was an added bonus for Melo. The pair found that they enjoyed each other's company when they started talking at Eda and Serkan's house warming party, Melo pointed out to Eda and Fifi that Seyfi's fortune telling had come true, she had met Hakan at the hospital after all.

The person most excited about the trip was Ferit, he had finally planned his proposal to Ceren. It was months later than he wanted it to be but she had been tied up in court for so long that it just never seemed right. A candlelit dinner in a private restaurant with roses surrounding them was met by a very loud, "Yes!" from Ceren. She had been waiting for Ferit for the longest time. They had no intention of having a long engagement period. Three days was too soon but two months worked just fine for them.

Kemal came on the trip too. He and Aydan sat down with Serkan and told him the truth a few weeks after the Atakan episode. Serkan was shocked but not terribly disappointed, he was relieved that their child wouldn't carry Aptekin's genes. Kemal and Serkan were working on building a relationship, they weren't there yet but Serkan was trying. He saw how happy his anne was with Kemal and that made a big difference in his opinion.

They had reached Antalya, no bad feelings, no lurking stalkers, no bumbling nieces, just a rather relaxing trip for Eda, Serkan and the team. Ferit remained true to form and gave them 'their suite' again. Serkan suggested that he rename the suite the 'Bolat Suite', Ferit just smiled and walked away.

It was a little too chilly to walk on the beach that night so Serkan grabbed a warm blanket from the bed and pulled Eda to the outdoor couch on the balcony and wrapped them both in it. He sat behind her with his arms around her and their baby.

"She's busy tonight, should we put on some music to relax her and I'll rub your belly?" asked Serkan.

"Serkan Bolat, you know how to sweet talk a girl. Play your cards right and you might get lucky tonight," Eda said as she leaned back to kiss him.

"I'm lucky every night Eda Bolat and every day," he said kissing the back of her neck.

Eda was looking up at the night sky, "Look Serkan, a shooting star, make a wish."

The both closed their eyes and made their wishes. They wished for the same things. They wished for a healthy and happy baby. They wished for love and happiness for their friends and family. The final wish wasn't a wish at all but a thank you for allowing all their other wishes to come true.

Serkan held Eda a bit tighter in his arms, "Did you get your wishes done?"

"I did and you?"

"Mmhmm, same as always. Thank you for loving me Eda, it is the best gift that I could ever have received. It was the best wish to come true, to be the man that you could love, the man that you would have a family with. You're all I ever wanted and all I've ever wished for. I will love you until my last breath and beyond, you are and always will be my heart and soul, my only love."

"You were my best wish Serkan. I always wonder if I can ever get enough of you and I think not. We were created for each other to love endlessly. I love you Serkan and I am so lucky to have you love me. It has always been you, only you, always you, to my last breath and beyond. As you said, you are my heart and soul, my only love."

They kissed softly and then deepened the kiss. They had almost lost each other this past year more than once but their love brought them back. Their love would always bring them back home.
