Serkan woke in the middle of the night, the moon was shining through the window on his face. He took stock of how he felt, the pounding in his head had tapered off to a dull thud and the gut wrenching nausea had stopped. He wasn't ready to run a marathon but he thought he might live. Selin wasn't in the room with him. He thought that she was behind the closed door, it gave him time to explore a bit. Serkan had to be careful not too make noise with the chains. He inspected the handcuffs, if only he had a hairpin or a screwdriver he could take them off like he had when he took Eda to the mountain house.

He looked around on the floor for anything that he could use but found nothing. He turned to the bolt that the chains were run through. Concreted in. He felt the concrete, it was a bit damp, had it not cured for seventy-two hours? He gave it a wiggle. There was no movement, not deterred he used the chain and wrapped it around, pulling it tight before using all his strength to pull. He was straining his muscles when at last he felt a little bit of movement. If there was something he knew it was construction materials.

Now that there was movement in the bolt Serkan felt a rush of excitement. He turned around to use his legs to push it. Since he was barefoot he took the small side table and pressed his heels against the leg, flat against the eye, he had more and more movement in the bolt. Setting the table to the side, Serkan sat over it and dug out the damp concrete that he had disturbed. Once that was done he alternated between twisting and using his legs and the table until he was finally able to wiggle the bolt out of the concrete. He was freed from the floor. Thank God she was an amateur and knew nothing about concrete.

He was loose but he had all these chains on him like the ghost in a Christmas Carol, he needed to get rid of them. Selin was not only a psychopath but she was an idiot he thought. On the table next to the far end of the sofa was a metal nail file. Serkan put the chains on the blanket and quietly dragged them over. Reaching up he grabbed the file and one by one he quietly released the handcuffs. If he didn't want to get out of there so bad he would handcuff her to the damned roof. No, it was more important to get out.

Quietly letting himself out of the cabin Serkan noticed an oversized shed. He gingerly walked over to the shed trying not to curse too loud as the sharp gravel bit into his bare feet. Slowly opening the door to reveal a van. He quietly opened the van's door and searched for a key but found none. Serkan had no clue how to hotwire a car, no that was something Fifi could probably do. Farther in the back he spotted an old broken down motorcycle and a bike. The bike had air in the tires so it would have to do.

Rolling the bike out and quietly closing the doors Serkan walked away from the cabin, he stuck to the grass to avoid making a sound on the gravel. When he was a fair distance from the cabin he thought it was safe to get on the bike. Bending down he quickly rolled his sleep pants and climbed on the bike, it wasn't the best but he would make it work. Serkan's goal was getting back to the hotel. He had a good sense of direction so he headed off making note of the mile marker. With the bright moon and no traffic he pedaled away.

The sun was breaking on the horizon as he came to the outskirts of Antalya. He was exhausted but he thought he might have another three miles to go to reach the hotel so he continued to pedal. The hotel was in view, Serkan was literally out of gas, he coasted up to valet and slid off the bike.

The valet on duty picked up the stinky, disheveled man ready to send him on his way when Ferit came walking out of the hotel. He only glanced at the valet and the man he was holding upright then looked back again.

"Serkan???"

"Ferit? If you could give me a hand before I pass out that'd be great."

He shoved his shoulder under Serkan's arm and dragged him into the hotel and to the elevators. Up to the twelfth floor and to room 1212 where he knocked loudly. Serkan heard Eda's 'I'm coming' right before the door was opened.
