Part 3
Lily
Three years later
(C-19, L-18, R- 20)"Lily, you alright?" Chad asks as I hover over the toilet in our apartment in Vancouver.
We moved about six months ago to Vancouver so the band could take off.
Since 1990, Ryan and Chad's relationship as friends has gotten stronger, Ryan threatened Chad with his life if he hurt me though.
"I don't know, I think it's that chicken we ate last night from McDonald's." I say and he nods as he helps me back to bed, covering me up with a blanket, getting into bed with me.
"Our wedding is today." Chad says and I nod as I snuggle up to him.
"I know." I say as he holds me.
Four hours later, we are in the Vancouver Municipal Courthouse where our wedding is taking place.
My parents are here and Ryan's and Dad are talking to Chad.
As I get my gown on, I feel dizzy all of a sudden.
"Lily!" Mom says as he stabilizes me with the help of Caty, my friend.
"You okay sweetie?" Mom asks after the spell passes and I nod.
"I don't know why it keeps happening. It's been going on for a couple days now." I say and Caty looks at me with a wary look, as does mom.
"Lily, do you think you might be pregnant?" Mom asks and I realize it's very likely, Chad didn't use protection last time we made love and my pills have been on recall for three months now.
"Listen, I'll get a EPT test from the store and you can take it during the reception, okay?" Caty says and I nod.
Caty gets back in time and we go through the wedding, before heading to the reception at our apartment complex.
I use the lobby bathroom and take the test.
I wait three minutes and look at it, seeing those two pink lines and smiling. I'm pregnant. I'm going to be a mom.
I walk outside and find Chad and drag him from his friends and give him the test and he looks at me before smiling widely.
"You're sure?" He asks and I nod.
"That's the reason for the dizziness and vomiting. I am guessing I'm around 10 weeks, since that's how long it's been since we've made love." I say and he kisses me as he holds me close.
"I can't wait." He says as we go to tell everyone else.
