The Second Yandere

Uchiha Sasuke's life changed after the massacre of his kin. The world grew cold and colorless. Everything and everyone became annoying. Oddly thought, the one that should be the most annoying somehow became the most tolerable. Sasuke had always thought that Uzumaki Naruto was strange but he slowly dismissed that as the boy was a loudmouth and a complete airhead. But he somehow kept a polite distance from Sasuke after the tragedy.

But one day everything felt too much. He was close to screaming. He didn't eat the past few days because he simply do not have the appetite. Then...Hyuuga Hinata placed a bento of simple home cooked meal in front of him. He was about to snap at her but she simply left. He glared at the food she left him. He wanted to throw it out.

But...

Why waste food?

The food was lukewarm from the room temperature but the cold in his world receded. He didn't notice that he was openly crying as he filled his empty stomach. Hinata had never bothered him. She was quiet and polite. She also understood how hard it was to impress his father because her father was the same. She was never enough to Hyuuga Hiashi. For that Sasuke could relate.

After that he kept noticing her. She was quiet and unassuming. The only one who seemed to bother her was Uzumaki Naruto. Usually Sasuke won't care but lately, the sight of the blond being close to her was painful. So he decided to sit next to her.

He didn't talk and neither did she. The few times the girls tried to make her move, he glared at them, "Go. Away,"

Hinata looked worriedly at him but he didn't say anything. Her silent presence was comforting for him. Peace and quiet eased his pain...until Naruto suddenly decided to become the greatest annoyance in his life. The blond kept interrupting his time with Hinata. He somehow managed to make Sasuke wet enough that he had to leave his new seat and change. By the time he returned, his spot had been stolen. Worse of all, Hinata was flustered by the blond being so close to her.

She was never flustered with him. It's like he was no one special to her. Why Naruto? The boy's uninteresting. He's an idiot and a loudmouth. Why was she so interested in Naruto? He had seen her around town sometime, following the blond until Kou caught her and take her home. Naruto was the most annoying person Sasuke had ever had the displeasure to know.

So when Mizuki managed to make his spar with Naruto, he took the pleasure of pounding the blond into the ground until Iruka stepped in and physically stopped him. He glared angrily at the blond. Just stop! Stop showing up and get between him and the only other person that knew how it felt like to never be enough! Who understood his grief and never pressured him to get better!

Just leave them alone!

He wanted to scream all that but he didn't. No one can understand. Naruto will probably just make fun of him anyway. The other girls are also annoying. Perhaps he should rectify it. Naruto's annoying but not as annoying as the other girls. The blond girl and the pink girl especially. They always kept him away from Hinata who was just sitting there, reading her book. He just want to sit beside her, why can't they get that?!

Annoying, so annoying. He wanted to get rid of them so bad. He dreamt about going to their houses and burning them down. Then maybe the world will be quiet. He can finally just sit with Hinata and not worry about people trying to get between them. But he can't, he can't do that. Hinata's too kind, she would stupidly cry for them.

Sasuke decided that he hated Uzumaki Naruto. The other day he caught Hinata laughing. Laughing! At something that the blond did. Sasuke didn't know how he did it. How he could just forget his dignity and be a clown. Sasuke knew he could never make Hinata laugh. He simply does not have it in him. He haven't felt happy for a very long time.
