War

Hinata struggled against the chains that Sasuke took from Hozuki Castle. He has been acting differently, saner. But he was still insane if he think she will agree to become his wife after what he had done to her. He treated her most shamefully too.

She never give him permission to touch her and yet he dare to groom her. He took care of her like he would a pet. He forcefully fed her by chewing her food for her and closing her nose to feed her via mouth to mouth. Her cheeks feel sore from the time she bit him and he slapped her.

He tied her up to a chair when awake and slept behind her, holding her when it was night and he forced her to sleep under a Genjutsu using his new eyes. She didn't know what he did when she was under his Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan illusion. She feared if she knew that she will break.

He made her dance with him even though he was clumsy but the next day he danced like an expert asking her, "Don't I dance better than Naruto?"

She didn't answer. She knew that he will only get mad if she answer.

He locked her up in a cage because she didn't answer.

He showed off his new Sage Mode and she didn't compliment. He made her food that she couldn't even taste. Her heart was simply not in it. He got mad.

He shouted, asking, "I made a better cook than he does, why won't you say anything?!"

"I danced better than him!"

"I have a better fashion taste than him too!"

"I even made a beautiful garden for you!"

Truly, he went above and beyond to provide for her. She didn't know where they're hidden but there's a garden and he showed her all the thorny red roses to show his love for her. He sew clothes that he thought would suite her. He dress her up like a doll and paraded her around what can only be the tamer Orochimaru facility.

He was making a home for her but she wasn't happy.

How can she when she's nothing more than a prisoner?

Her heart's not in this.

Then one day Sasuke told her, "There's a war going on outside,"

She paled, "What?"

He nodded, "Naruto will die, Hinata. He's not strong enough-," His ears rang. Her chakra might be sealed but her body was trained, especially her palm. Hinata's slap was something no one should experience as he spat out a tooth and his nose bled from the force meeting his face.

He looked to see her glaring, "At least he's fighting while you are here hiding like a coward!"

He growled as was about to hit her back for the slap when the ground rumbled. Giant roots appeared and Hinata struggled to find her footing. Something wrapped around her and she heard Sasuke screaming her name as she fall asleep. Her heart rang with a single name;

Naruto-kun.

It was snowing. She wondered why it was snowing and a boy just jeered at her, "If you're really a Hyuuga then show us your Byakugan!"

Another boy followed, "And if you're not gonna then don't look at us!"

"Yeah! Your eyes creepy! I bet you're actually some kind of monster aren't you?"

Hinata know this. She has been through this once before.

"Yeah, a Byakugan Monster!"

"Byakugan Monster!"

"Monster! Monster! Monster!"

She knelt down, young heart hurting and tears burning in her eyes.

Then a voice, "Hey!"
