Kakashi had bundled Hinata up in a blanket the moment he arrived on a white and ink construct courtesy of Sai. He cut her knots off her form and quickly took her to the sky on the strange ink bird. She shuddered against Kakashi's hold as Sai hovered over the area. They were so close to the border of Hi-Kaminari that she would have been lost to them by daylight.

Red chains, one that she had only ever recalled once; when Naruto dealt with the Ichibi from Suna, shot through the crimson sky. She heard Naruto's roar, "I'M GOING TO FUCKING SKIN YOU BASTARDS!"

She then realized that Kakashi was shaking beside her. She looked at him and saw his face, what little that can be seen, was pale as corpse. He noticed her looking and asked Sai, "Fly higher and head to an inn...she didn't need to look at it," He looked at Hinata, "You don't have to watch. With this much bad mood, it's going to get ugly. I have never seen him this furious before,"

Hinata let the remained Team 7 fly her to a nearby town. She didn't hear Kakashi when the man told her that he will put a Henge on her appearance so that they won't cause unrest in the town. She barely noticed the man as he helped her into the room and then to the bathroom, handing her mission gear so that she won't out of place when they leave in the morning. She stood under the scalding hot shower head and that was when the tears came out.

Kakashi listened as she howled in the bathroom. Sai looked disturbed. Even though he had done a lot of unsavory thing under Danzo's order, Hinata...had been the kindest soul he had ever met. When Tsunade told him and Kakashi to gear up and chase Naruto because the blond lost Hinata's chakra in the village, Sai jumped right into mission mode with an eagerness he had never expected to feel. Hinata...had welcomed him even with a slight reluctance because of Naruto's warning.

He shouldn't have gotten attached but he did due to the girl's sincerity. Due to this, he kept delaying his report to Danzo, something that he's aware that he would pay dearly for but he found that he didn't care. Hinata's...his friend...

Having realized the depth of Naruto's feeling towards her, he could only imagine how the blond felt when he caught her in the most compromising position any women could have been placed in. Whatever the blond planned for the Hyuuga and his cohorts, it won't be pretty and Sai uncharacteristically hope the bastard will suffer hell on earth.

There was a knock on the door and Kakashi opened it. Hyuuga Hiashi, Hyuuga Hanabi and Hyuuga Neji stood on the other side with a winded look. Hanabi was quick to hear to mourning wail of her sister and just slipped past the Hatake to knock on the bathroom door, "Nee-chan! Nee-chan, it's me, Hanabi!"

The wailing stopped and after a moment Hanabi was allowed in, but not before the girl's eyes widened in sorrowful horror, "Nee-chan..."

Hiashi was shaking as he entered the room. He noticed Neji joining Sai's vigilance by the window. The outside sky tinted an ominous crimson. When the Branch member crashed into his office with a dead Hyuuga boy in her arms despite the pain of the activated Caged Bird Seal, he knew something horrible had happened. He had promptly deactivated her cursed seal and listened as she confessed what Kotomine had done, what she had ended up becoming accomplice to.

Then while rushing to the Hokage's office for permission to mobilize his clan to rescue his kidnapped daughter, he saw Hatake and the new boy on Team 7 Sai rushing towards the gate. They didn't acknowledge him, eyes stern and focused. Tsunade told him to go after them but listen to Kakashi's order. Before he could retaliate saying that this was his daughter that he's losing, Tsunade had informed him that Uzumaki Naruto had noticed her disappearance an hour prior and had literally flew off the handle.

In the end, Hiashi took Hanabi as she refused to be left behind and Neji who had felt guilty about the whole matter as he had decidedly turned a new overprotective leaf about Hinata after the Chuunin Exam during the Sandaime's last reign to chase after Team 7. Besides, Hinata will need her sister and a familiar comfort of family, not just her team. He looked at Kakashi, "What happened?"
