Hinata looked at the tadpoles, amused. She didn't know how long she had stayed in the humid mountains where she feels like a ladybug with how big everything was. Naruto's clone had built a small hut for her use during her stay in Mount Myoboku. When she had gone into hysteric, he decided to take her away from Konoha. He promised that he will take her home but Hinata didn't hear anything from him for a very long time.

Then Jiraiya appeared with injuries all over, making her panic. She quickly worked on him, checking on his vitals and helping him pull out those weird rods that seemed to be plugging his chakra pathways. Luckily she has just the thing that can break it. She then started healing the dying man, wondering what was going on with the outside world...

When Naruto heard that Itachi was involved with the Akatsuki, he didn't think much of it at first. He simply thought of them as just another bunch of enemies he had to face. Then when he heard that they're targeting Konoha, his short temper with those that kept threatening things that Hinata loves; her village and her family, snapped. He ignored that he would be labeled missing with his flight from Konoha. He has only one thing on his mind; eliminate all threats to Hinata.

Jiraiya was already en route to Ame via toad anyway...

He arrived just in time to save the idiot from being killed. Pain's puppets looked at him and shifted into battle stances. Unlike Jiraiya, Naruto didn't need to use Shima and Fukaku's help to enter Sage Mode. Rather, it was easier for him to be undisturbed what with his chakra chains keeping unwanted elements at bay.

Pain looked at him, "You are the Kyuubi's Jinchuuriki. How quaint that you would offer yourself personally,"

Naruto's toad eyes studied the puppets before him, "You are the leader of Akatsuki?"

"Yes,"

Naruto pull out Akkorokamui, "Are you within Ame?"

Pain looked at the sword, saying nothing but shifting his stance. Naruto prayed, "Akkorokamui; Uzu,"

The blade glowed and the chakra of his ancestors answered. Crimson chains painted their shapes on his skin, glowing red. The sky swirled, turning red and Pain's eyes widened as he watched chains interlocking over the whole of Ame. He scowled, "What are you doing?!"

Naruto smiled, "You are a danger to Hinata. You threatened her and the things she cherished. Since she cherished me and Kurama, I can't let you have so I have been thinking on what I should do with you, dattebayo. This was designed especially with you in mind,"

Pain's eyes widened as he heard something unbelievable behind him. He turned to see the ground under Ame cracking. Earthquakes shattered the city and he was about to return to protect it. Crimson chains snatched his ankle and looked at Naruto. Blue voids like the abyss of the deep ocean stared back, "Where are you going? Aren't you going to preach about peace and pain to me like you did to Jiraiya?"

Pain's face contorted as the people of Ame screamed for his hands to save them. He shot out a gravity attack towards Naruto but a chakra tail took the brunt, dissipating before reforming. His other animated corpses started attacking again. But Naruto was a bad match to him. His clones, already imitating his Sage Mode, easily take them out. Naruto's smile was sadistic, "I know all about peace, you know?"

Pain stared at him.

Naruto's smile became gentle, "It was love. It was the most painful and beautiful thing to experience. If you love something, you would do anything to make it yours. You would even avoid war because your loved ones would cry over your cooling body and you don't want that. Love taught you compassion and connection when before you only know nothing. Love brighten your world when it appears and love plummet it into darkness when it disappear,"
