Fox On A Manhunt

Hyuuga Hiashi didn't know what was going on, only that he was told to keep his clan members close. He was also informed that Hinata won't be in Konoha for a while longer but that she's somewhere safe. He had a terrible premonition and nightmares of the nights where he almost lost his eldest kept plaguing him. He didn't show it to the clan though. It was obvious to those in the know that his clan was under suspect.

Hyuuga Hiyori was busy cleaning up her space under guise of vacation but she won't be coming back. She knew that being Orochimaru's spy have a price and lately there was little to no contact with the traitor. She suspected something when her vacation was suddenly refused. No one was allowed in or out. She can't even slip out. It wasn't the Hyuuga that guarded the gate but rather ANBU. Something was clearly up and her instinct told her to skedaddle out of Konoha.

What had happened?

What had gone wrong?

Why won't Orochimaru answer her?!

She sold her clan and Konoha for special seal that will negate the Caged Bird Seal on her. It hurt when applied but it was worth the freedom. She laughed at the back of the high handed Main family of the Hyuuga Clan but she refused to share her freedom with the rest of the Branch. Who knew when they will stab her in the back?

But she should have known better than to trust a snake.

It was just a normal day when Uzumaki Naruto stormed the Hyuuga Compound. He ignored every Hyuuga that tried to halt him, even going as far as to threaten them with his mysterious katana. Hiashi heard the commotion but one look at the boy and his heart plummet. Hinata will always be safe with Naruto, but the world was a dangerous place. No matter how deadly the boy was, the world can be deadlier.

Something had happened to his daughter...

Crimson chain shoot out and dragged a fleeing Hyuuga. She was a simple Chuunin who tended to man the mission desk instead of taking life ricking mission. Hiyori was an unassuming Hyuuga that once served his wife. He wondered why Naruto attacked the woman when the boy grabbed her hair and attempt to pull off her hitai-ate. The other Hyuuga Branch members tried to step in but Hiashi ordered, "STAND DOWN!!"

Neji looked horrified.

They knew Naruto better after learning about him with Jiraiya. The boy would not touch anyone precious to Hinata. The fact that he's attacking Hiyori could only mean one thing...

Hiyori had done something so unforgivable that Naruto would not hesitate to get his hands on her.

When Hiyori attempted to fight back, Hiashi witnessed just brutal Naruto can be as he slammed the woman's face to the floor several times, cracking the woods before pulling her head up by the hair and tearing the bandage off her forehead. He snarled, "I know the Caged Bird Seal. Yours have been modified,"

Hiyori tried to pry his black fingers off but it was like iron clamps holding onto her, "H-how?"

Naruto sneered, his facial expression vicious, "I'd do anything to keep Hinata free of the Caged Bird Seal. I'll harm anyone, use any life and break any mind to learn its secret and the key to open the cage," His grin was savage; "You can thank immortal Hidan for sacrificing his sanity for the freedom of the Hyuuga Clan's Branch family, dattebayo. It was hard work, he kept blacking out but after so many trials and errors, trials and errors that's more than any of the death row prisoners could have afford me, I found it; unlocking the Caged Bird Seal without hurting or killing her should it ever be placed on her,"

Hiyori's face as well as many clan members' face was pale as ghost. There was a gleam of hope in the branch family but horror was evident as well. An immortal blacking out meant the pain was great enough to kill them. They knew the reason why once placed, the seal can never be taken off. It was made to kill any attempt of tempering with it. Naruto studied her seal and when she struggled, he kneed her skull, causing her to become dazed.
