A month after the wedding
*Adrian's POV*
I walk through the castle halls, smiling at everyone passing by. It's not the life I thought I would have but I'd never change it. I see Tarrant and I walk over to him, "Dear friend, have you seen my queen anywhere? I can't seem to find her." Hatter started giggling, "Have you checked the living space everyone resides in for charades?" I smile, "Thank you Tarrant. I'll see you later." I could hear everyone giggling as I walked to the game room and I looked at everyone in confusion. Why is everyone so giggly?
I opened the doors and smiled, "Mirana! Where are you my love?" I could hear Mirana giggling as I walked further into the room. I closed the doors behind me and walked towards her voice. "Hello, my love. I have a gift for you," Mirana smiled as she glided to me. I grinned and grabbed her by the waist, "It better be a lovely piece of clothing and not paperwork." Mirana giggled and shook her head, "No, my love. It's neither. Just open this." She handed me a small box and I opened it, just staring at the item and back at her. I tear up, "I'm going to be a father?" Mirana teared up with me and smiled, "Yes, Adrian. You're going to be a daddy!" I cheered and picked her up by the waist, twirling her around, "Yes! I love you!" I gasped and quickly put her down, "No more paperwork. Too stressful. No more of doing anything! You need to be safe!" Mirana smiled and held my hands, "I'll be fine, I'll take time to be careful closed to the birth."
I put a hand on her stomach, "How far along are you?" Mirana giggles, "A month, eight more to go." I smiled and kneeled down, speaking to my child, "Hello, love. It's your daddy. I love you and you're mummy very much. Don't give her trouble or you'll have me to deal with young man." Mirana giggled, "I think it will be a girl." I smirked, "Daddy knows best, mummy. Don't forget that. Now, shouldn't we do something to celebrate?" Mirana shrieked in laughter and ran to our room with me chasing her.
Month Two
I held Mirana's hair back as she throws up in the toilet again. "I'm sorry, love," I grimnced as she dry-heaved. Mirana grabbed my hand in reassurance, "It's not your fault, Ari. Our sweet girl just doesn't know what she wants." I clean around Mirana's lips to get rid of anything, "I believe you meant, our sweet boy." Mirana rolls her eyes fondly, "Whatever helps you sleep at night."
Month Three
I'm slapped awake and I panic, "Is everything thing okay?!" Mirana giggles, "Yes love, I just want some of Tarrant's tea with some of his scones." I groan, "Sweetheat, its two in the morning and he's probably asleep. Can this wait till morning when he's awake too?" Mirana glares, "I said I want tea and scones. The baby wants it." I gulp and get dressed quickly, heading out to get my horse and hurrying to Tarrant's house. I knock on the door and a tired Tarrant opens the door, "My friend, sleep is imperative and I can not resume my madness if I am awake at insane hours of the night." I sigh softly, "I'm sorry Tarrant, Mirana wanted some tea and scones. The baby has cravings and Mirana was very stern with me about not wanting to wait until morning."
Tarrant nods swiftly, "I'd rather not make my queen angry. It may be the pregnancy, but she is very stern when she needs to be." Tarrant quickly gave me some hot tea in a travel canister and scones. "Safe travels, my friend," Tarrant bids me goodbye and goes back to sleep. I ride back to the castle and hurry to our room. "Mirana, I have your drink and food," I look to see Mirana smiling guiltily, "Thank you, love. I don't exactly want them anymore. Can we just cuddle and I'll eat everything in the morning?" I just blink at her and sigh, getting back into bed and cuddling her, "I love you, but you're driving me crazy." Mirana giggled and just fell asleep.
Month four through eight
Four months of constant cravings and mood swings. I don't know how women do this, I'd lose my mind. Everyone in society needs to respect women more. This is insane. I'm not having another child after this, but when I see Mirana glowing with her swollen belly, carrying our child, I smile and everything that these last few months have held, worries go out the window. I wrap my arms around Mirana's belly and cup her stomach, "Hello loves. I missed you." Mirana giggles, "And you said I'm clingy." I smile and just rock us back and forth, ready to meet our child.
Month nine
I pace back and forth outside of our room, listening to Mirana scream in pain. Tarrant just watches me, "Adrian, please, you'll put a trench in the flooring." Mally nods in agreement, "The queen will be fine." I pace faster and I hear Mirana stop screaming. I take a deep breath as I hear a baby crying, then I smile widely. "My king, you may come meet your children." Mally gasps at the same time I do, "Twins!" The twins smile and cheer as I hurry into the room.
I smile and tear up at the sight of my family. Mirana looks up from our babies and smiles, "Come meet our twins, Adrian. A boy and a girl. Looks like we were both right." I laugh tearfully and sit in the chair by our bed, "Their beautiful, Mirana. He has your hair and my eyes." Mirana smiles, "And she has your hair and my eyes. A perfect blend. What should we name them?" Mirana hands me our daughter as she continues holding our son.
I smile, "How about Madison and Mason?" Mirana smiles, "Maddison Nadia and Mason Aiden of Marmoreal. It's perfect for them." I look at my family fondly and kiss my daughter and son on the forehead. "I love you, Mirana. Thank you." Mirana kisses me, "I couldn't have done this without you. Thank you for loving me." I grin, "It was either you or your sister." Mirana giggles, "You wouldn't last a week." I nod seriously, "I also dreamed about you since I was a boy." Mirana smiles and kisses my lips, "I love you King Adrian." I sigh in content, "And I love you Queen Mirana." I then look at our children, "I will always love you, Princess Maddison Nadia and Prince Mason Aiden."
Three years later
"Maddison and Mason! Slow down! Don't make me tell your father!" I could hear Mirana yell from the garden. I chuckle, times haven't change. Their so energetic. "Daddy! Papa!" I hear as two little bodies slam into me when I make my way in sight of everyone, "Oof!" I fall to the ground, laughing as Maddison and Mason giggle. Time moves a little differently here so Maddison and Mason are five years old.
"When is Aunt Alice coming here to save Uncle Tarrant?" Mason asks as Maddison nods in agreement. I kiss their foreheads, "Soon, my loves. Soon." The twins run off with Chesh and I look at Mirana in worry.
