Our escape

"Dad!" i said running into his arms.

"Sir we can't stay long they are looking for us" Danny said looking in my dad's eyes hating it.

"Dad come with us please" i pleaded with to my dad.

"I'm sorry honey but I can't they will come back and i have to be there" he said with tears in his eyes "I will pack a bag for you."

He packed a bag with food, water, blankets, a portable charger, and a med kit.

"Be safe i love you" dad said and kissed me on the head.

"I will, i love you too, i will see you again" i said over my cry.

We set off again to find another one of Danny's "friends". It was a quiet walk other than my sniffles. I catch him looking down at me.

'I'm sorry you got dragged into this" Danny mumbles.

"No, it's fine what friends are for." i forced a smile at him.

We walked to a public car station, and I pulled out some money. My dad also packed and got on the road. We sat in silence, which was painful.

"I know you have questions, go on ask" Danny said not looking away from the road.

"H-how many are there" i said with a shaky voice "you know with abilities."

."4 including me" he said without a change his expression.

"What can they do? Are they made of lighting like you?"

He laughed and shook his head from how shaky my voice was.

"let's keep that surprise" he said looking at me for half a second.

I looked out the window, with so many thoughts in my head. I guess i was shaking because he put his hand on my leg and spoke.

"I'm not going to hurt you, nor will my friends and when this is all over you will see your father again."

"And what if i don't" i put my head down while starting to cry.

"Then you have me and i will protected you i promise."

After that i fell asleep and when i wake up everything will be different

"We're here"

When i opened my eyes i could see the sign saying "welcome to Ohio"

"We were just in pa 10 minutes ago."

"Nope we've been driving for 2 hours," Danny said, laughing sleepily.

"Omg I'm so sorry you must be so tired."

He just looked at me and smiled. You must be saying it takes longer than 2 hours to get to Ohio from pa, but technology has advanced since gas cars, now cars run on scientist manufactured air or water that is safe for the environment and make cars faster than ever.

"You ready "Danny said parking the car in front a small house.

"I think so." i respond while unbuckling my seatbelt.

We walked up to the door and knocked; I stepped back a little as I heard footsteps coming to the door. Danny grabbed my hand and pulled me behind him, then the door opened.

"Danny is that you" the tall figure shouted.
