I work packing groceries at a market in the city where I live.
From 13:00 to 22:10, with only a 1:50 break, every day of the week, Sunday off but sometimes I have to work on Sunday, usually twice a month.
But despite this tiring work.
I was happy.
Why?
I completed school!
High school, but precisely.
I'm not sure how it works in the rest of the world but in Brazil.
It has the 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 year of fundamental.
After nine years of elementary school, you go to high school, which is three more years.
I completed the third year and my god.
Was difficult.
Because working and studying at the same time is complicated, 4 hours of sleep on average is not enough.
But I was done.
I was fine in the center of the city where I live, solving things like going to an appointment here, paying a bill there, checking out the stores.
The basic.
The problem is that said consultation with the doctor, more precisely the dentist.
... Delayed.
It took too long!
After all, of the 3 professionals who were supposed to attend that day, 1 got sick and the other just didn't show up.
And to help even more, it seems like the whole town has left to go to the dentist on my day off.
Moral of the story?
The dentist closed at 21:15 and it would normally close at 20:00 on Sunday.
The dentist attended to those who could, the rest had to be postponed to another day.
Including me.
In the end I found myself walking the night streets alone, heading towards where I would take the bus home.
I was dressed in dark blue jeans, light fabric and very flexible.
My shoes were leather Caterpillar boots, after all I like durable things, they were comfortable and protected my feet (besides making me look a little taller, but not much.)
