Chapter Seven

Jesses POV

"Would you like anything in particular?" Knox asked looking at me with a smile.

"No. Want me to help?" I asked getting up to stand next to the stove.

Hey I can still help before I bolt.

"Let me take care of you. I've been looking forward to taking care of my mate ever since I found out about mates." He said leading me back to the table to sit down.

"But shouldn't we be taking care of each other?" As I watched him gather everything to make breakfast.

"Yes. But your upset. So I want you to relax and let me take care of you." He said as he looked at me with so much love.

All this just seems to good to be true.

"Now why did you get so upset. You were fine one minute. Then wanting to bolt the next. I can still feel you wanting to run." As he started to mix stuff more waffles or pancakes.

"I don't know. I guess what my exes new woman said about rejection. I know there is an option for rejection." As I started to fidget with end of Knox shirt.

"Your right there is an option for rejection. But it has to be decided by both parties involved. And before completing the mating process." He said looking over to me.

"Have you heard of mates breaking up after completing the mating process?" I had to know. Because I don't think I can handle anymore betrayal. My heart can't handle it.

"No I've never heard of mates leaving each before or after everything. Every mate has wanted each other. There's never been a rejection ever." He said looking me dead in the eye. Even though I could feel he's telling me the truth.

"How do you know?"

"Every mated couple gets registered like a marriage license. But mates still get married and get the marriage license too. So any other questions." He asked as poured some batter into a waffle maker.

I didn't say anything I just got up and walked towards Knox who turned to look at me.

When I was near him I embraced him and buried my face in his chest inhaling his scent.

"I'm sorry I doubted you." I said as he wrapped his arms around me holding me tight.

"You don't have to apologize. You've been hurt. It's only natural to be afraid of getting hurt again." As he nuzzled my head.

I felt him start to pull away from me. But since I didn't want to let go I whimpered and held on tighter.

"Baby I wasn't going to let go I was just turning the waffle maker." I could hear a hint of laughter.

"Good because I like how you hold me." As I nuzzled closer.

We stayed like that as Knox and I made waffles together. As we continued to hold each other. And just enjoying being with each other as we held each other.

When we pulled apart it was to set the table with all the food that was made. And there was a lot.

We had bacon, eggs, pancakes, and waffles. And a lot of it.

"Your going to have a bigger appetite now that we are mated." Knox smiled before sitting down.

I looked from the empty seat to Knox. I don't know why but I didn't want sit in the chair. I wanted to sit on Knox lap.

Must be the mate bond. But still went to sit down next to Knox.

But before I could sit down I felt Knox wrap his arm around my waist and pull me into his lap.

As soon as I was against Knox chest I started to purr.

Wait since when can I purr.

"You happy?" He asked with as he laughed.

I didn't say anything I just shook head.

Knox just laugh a little before piling food into our plates.

But before I could grab my fork Knox took it away from my reach.

I whimpered because my stomach is growling and wanting food from our activities from the night before.

"Please can I feed you." Knox asked blushing a little.

"As long as I can do the same for you." I said feeling Knox Growl from pleasure.

"Your a wonderful mate." Knox said making me feel so happy.

And that's what we did. We ate our fill as we fed each other. Just enjoying beinh with each other. Holding each other and just being happy.

But our little moment had to be ruined by my phone ringing.

"What now can't I just go a day without being bothered." I growled as I looked at the caller I.D.

When I saw it was my dad I immediately knew why he was calling me.

I just walked out of the house didn't even say where I was going. I may be an adult but if I walk out the door and I don't come home all night that's not normal for me. Whoops.

"Hey dad. Sorry I didn't call last night after I left." I explained as soon as I answered the phone.

"I was worried. It's not like you to be out all night. Unless you have a shift at the department. But other than that I was worried. I know you can handle yourself. But I was still worried about you." Dad said worried clear in his voice.

"I know I'm sorry. But I met someone and I've  been with them this whole time." I said meeting silence at the other end.

"Dad you there?" Wondering if we lost our connection.

"Yeah I'm just shocked is all. I know your an adult but it's still shocking to hear still." He said stunned.

"Well the person I met isn't just anyone. I met my mate. I have a werewolf for a mate." I said happily.

"Really well I'm happy for you. What's his name. Have you uh you know?" He asked awkwardly.

"Thank and yeah we uh you know." I said blushing like a beacon.

"Well still I'm happy for you. What his name?"

"Knox Black sir." Knox said listening the whole time since I turned on my phone on speaker.

"Knox Black Alpha of the worlds strongest pack. And the very Marine I served with. And became good friends." Dad said peaking Knox interest.

"Wait who is this. I thought your voice was familiar but I'm not sure?" Knox asked his  curiosity peaked.

"Really you don't recognize my voice Biggs Jeff Biggs." My dad said laughing.

"Biggs you son of bitch. How the hell are?" Knox asked with the biggest smile ever.

Knox, my dad, and I talked a little while longer. My dad and Knox getting reacquainted.

Then when the conversation winded down my dad threatened Knox to not hurt me reminding Knox that he's still one hell of a sniper.

Knox promised he would never hurt me.

After we said our goodbyes I looked to Knox and just crashed my lips against Knox lips feeling the wonderful sparks.

I could never get tired of those sparks they are just so addicting.

Pretty soon our kiss turn hot and heavy really quick and I was welcoming what would come of it.

Knox growled from lust and I could feel how how happy he is too.

Knox got up carrying me along with to wherever he wanted to go.

I guess we figured out what to do with our day.
