Chapter Fifteen

Jesses POV

As we told Stetson the story about how my ex fiance replaced me and how I met Knox the same day. I could hear his brothers and Stetson reacting to every word but at the end of my story Stetson asked something that shocked me.

"You said your name was Knox Black right?" Stetson asked after some silence.

"Yeah." Knox answered curiously

"Is your dad named Buck Black?" Stetson continued.

"Yeah why?" Knox asked as we got more into the conversation.

"Now I recognize your name. Your father and my father traveled together to rodeos. Your dad was an amazing saddle bronc rider, an bull rider. Don't you remember me. You were older than me. I followed you around when you came along with your dad." Stetson said excitingly.

"Now I remember you. I knew you sounded familiar. But I wasn't sure. How the hell are? What have you been up to?" Knox asked back with just as much excitement.

Wow Knox dad was a bronc rider and bull rider. Why hasn't told me? And why didn't he say anything about his dad when he found out about me competing in rodeos?

And why haven't I met his father? Why didn't he invite his dad with us?

I have so many questions.

We really don't know each other.

As Knox and Stetson continued to talk I went up to Ben and told him I take over navigating with dad.

"Hey kiddo. Nice to spend some time together." Dad said as he looked over at me before looking back to the road.

"Yeah." Was all I said as I sat their just looking out the window.

"Ok what's wrong?" Dad asked recognizing my sadness.

I moved over close to my dad so Knox hopefully wouldn't hear.

But he was to engrossed in the conversation. He didn't even notice I left his side.

"Knox and I really don't know each other. I didn't know anything about his dad. Or that Knox travelled to rodeos with his dad. He didn't say anything after he found out about me competing in rodeos." As I moved back to the seat.

"You've only known each other for a few days. You'll find out more each other soon." Dad said trying to cheer me up.

"But why didn't he say anything about his dad? Or anything else?" As I was starting to get frustrated.

"I don't know baby girl. Just calm down. You don't need to be stressed before competing." Dad said giving me a smile.

"I'll try." Was all I said.

"Here's your phone baby." Knox said as he gave me the phone.

"Thanks." As I took my phone back.

"Are you ok baby?" Knox asked concerned.

"Yeah I'm just very tired is all." As I looked to dad for help.

I mean it's still early in the morning so it's a good excuse.

"Why don't you go take a nap baby girl. Jacob can take over navigating." Dad said giving me a wink.

"Yeah I should take a nap." As I got up and went to one of the bedrooms in the RV. Well Semi RV

Good thing these Semi RVs have a few rooms and couches that can be turned into beds. So we have enough room for everyone. Even have enough beds for guests.

I changed into some PJs and climbed into bed. I turned on the TV and put one of my shows on sine I need sound to sleep. Shut the certain darkening the room and rest my head on the pillow.

As I was starting to let sleep take over I heard the door to my room open then shut. Then some shuffling of clothes being taken off.

Then I felt the bed dipped before feeling an arm wrap around my waist and pulled me against his chest.

"When you wake up we'll talk about what you and your dad talked about." Knox said before I felt his lips of my forehead.

"There's nothing to talk about." Trying to get some sleep.

"Just get some sleep baby." Knox said not acknowledging what I said.

So I just let the wonderful darkness of sleep take me under.

I woke up smelling bacon. When I opened I noticed Knox looking at me as he caressed my face.

"Hey." As I snuggled into Knox.

"Hey baby. Are you feeling ok?" Knox asked unsure of my attitude.

"Yeah I'm fine. I'm usually pretty moody in the morning. And the smell of bacon woke me up." As I started to get up from bed. Knox got out of bed too.

"But why didn't you tell me that you dad was the famous Buck Black?" As I stretched a little.

"Now that's a surprise." He said as he boop my nose before taking my hand and leading us out to the main living area.

"Hey guys I made breakfast since we didn't eat when we left." Ben said as he finished plating up everything he made.

When we sat with our food and began to eat I looked to Knox.

"So why can't you tell me the surprise?" I asked as I looked to Knox.

"Because I don't want to ruin the surprise." Smiling at me.

"Can't you give me a hint." As I smiled and batted my eyelashes.

"Nope." As he smiled before he added.

"Well all I can say is that you'll love it." Knox said as he took a bite of bacon.

"Really?" I asked enjoying my food.

"Would I lie to you?"
