After dinner you head straight to bed with little chat between you and your team after dinner. Unfortunately, you wake up very early in the morning. In your half-asleep walk to the kitchen to grab a glass of water, you see a figure that looks suspiciously similar to the Sargent that asked you out on a date, coming out of Lieutenant Ghost's room at 3 am.

You wake up a few hours later that morning, not sure of what to make of the noises coming from your Lieutenants room the night before. You decide it is best to ignore them and try to act as normal to both Ghost and Soap.
You get dressed in basic combat gear, excluding the vest, and pull your hair back before heading to the bathroom to rinse your face. You walk into the kitchen and sit down at the table where Price is already seated,
"How was your first night, kid?" Price asks with a faint smile and sunny disposition.
"It was fine, the way over here was scarier than the monsters under my bed, so I had little complaints," you say with a small yuan at the end.
"Good to hear, but we do have our work cut out for us for the next few days. So wipe the sleep from your eyes and be ready to recited your notes to us," Price says, more awake now than you will ever be.
"You got it captain," you say giving him a thumbs up and starting to lay your head down on the table and almost falling asleep before a pair of heavy boots walks up beside you.
"She's still asleep?" Ghost asks, you're not sure if you hear sarcasm or judgement from him.
"Beats me," Price says shrugging his shoulders and moving to the kitchen to grab a cup of coffee. Ghost follows him.
In your half awake nap, the rest of your team files into the room, sitting down at the table you're napping at.
You finally woken up from your nap by a large pair of skeleton gloves semi-aggressively placing a cup of coffee next to your head.
Looking up you say, "thank you" before taking a sip and fully looking up at your mysterious teammate. He is standing over you with his arms crossed as if he's suspicious about you. You ignore it delve into your coffee, but right as you are taking a large drink, you look at Soap. He is looking between you and Ghost as his cheeks seem to get redder. You continue looking at him, then suddenly,
"Ok 141," Price announces louder than needed making you break from your trance and choke on your coffee, "today, we are getting you all out into the field," this makes you anxious, "I have partners for everyone," partner work makes you more anxious, "me and Gaz, then Ghost and Soap, like normal," now you feel a knot forming in your stomach, having to work with someone makes you anxious, but being left out feels worse, "y/n, I didn't forget about you, you will be with Ghost and Soap helping them with the layout of the building they are going into. I want you to go over the plans with them before we head out. Ghost, teach her how to use the comms."
It could be worse, you could have their lives on the line, but you already have that. You have to make sure you don't fuck anything up and keep them alive the best you can. You think they should be fine with our without your help because of their years of training that obviously hasn't failed them, but it's still nerve racking. Putting you on the mission like this feels like a test.
Ghost stands up, "alright, y/n, Soap, my office," he sounded commanding, but not harsh like you had heard before.
You three go to his 'office', which was also his room for the next few days, and stand around his small desk. You grab you laptop and pull up the layout of the warehouse and a multilevel building that they are going into. You explain the plans as detailed as someone with very little drafting or architectural knowledge can. You tell them where the best place to find the documented proof you would need would be. You are hunting a group of people who you are suspicious of and are looking for any proof of terrorist type evidence relevant to the two weeks of research you had done on them previously.
"So, just the few rooms that we have to check?" Soap asks as if he didn't retain anything you had just told him.
"Those room you have to check, but you should double check all of the rooms for important paperwork or flash drives," you say trying to be as clear as possible, "the other I had noticed, there is some empty space around here and here," gesturing to a few walls in the building and a box drawn out in the warehouse.
"So?" Ghost asks.
"Just be careful of them, they aren't in the plans I I don't know what they lead to," you say trying to warn them.
"Ok, I got it," Soap says giving you the same smile that made you want to keep talking to him at that coffee shop.
"LETS GO!" You all hear Pice yell through the safe house queuing all of you to suit up and meet out in the living room.

Making it out to the battlefield is what you though the scariest part would be, but the scariest part is you sitting in some home, distracted by your computer and the teammates borderline flirting in your ear. Anything could happen at anytime. You are at the will of everyone else at this point.
"Ok, y/n, the warehouse had nothin', we're headed to the complex," Ghost says in your ear.
"Got it," you reply, "just be carful, and fast, I want to be able to see both of you at dinner tonight," you say trying to turn your fear into a self confident joke.
"Thought I was the only one that was gonna have dinner with you, lass?" Soap says into the mic, you're unsure if this is him flirting or joking with you.
You hear Ghost jealously grunt into the mic before you say, "I thought that was supposed to be off of government time?" Trying to either flirt or joke back.
"Sure, but-" Soap says before Ghost cuts him off.
"I'm in here, just around the corner near the stairs," Ghost says taking the fun out of your conversation.
"Yeah, I'm on the opposite side, near the bottom bathroom," Soap says.
"Ok, Soap, you need to be carful that's where-," you get cut off by a gun shot from Soaps side.
You hold your breath, "yeah, those blank spaces are dangerous, someone just jumped out at me, but I did find a flash drive!" Soap says sounding unscathed
"Good job, Johnny, let's finish the sweep then get out of here after collecting y/n," Ghost says with a steady voice.

They finish the sweep and on their way to get you, you hear footsteps coming up to the room you are hiding in, "uh- guys?" You ask nervously, "how close are you?"
"We can see your hideout, why do you ask?" Ghost says.
"I think there's someone here, I need help," you say with your voice starting to shake.
"On it, get near the window so we can see you," Ghost says trying to direct you and keep you calm. His voice is even and comforting to you, it starts working, then the door knob starts to shake.
"Hang in there, lass, we just entered the house," Soap says.
You back yourself up to the wall keeping all of your stuff gathered close to you. The door eventually busts open loudly and an unknown man points a gun towards you. Just in time Ghost comes up and takes him down, but not before the man squeezes the trigger, releasing a bullet that grazes your rib.

You have never been shot before. You never intended to even be around guns. Yet here you are, in an unfamiliar place with a bullet wound. Ghost and Soap quickly rush up to you Soap starts to put pressure on the wound before contacting Price for extraction. Soap slings you over his shoulders and let's Ghost lead the way to Price. The extraction feels like a blur, but when you get back to the safe house, you can feel and remember everything.
