Soap lays you down on the kitchen table while Gaz and Price run to grab medical supplies.
"Hey, hey, look at me," Soap looks you in your eyes and holds your hand while applying pressure to your wound. You look at him trying to distract yourself from the pain. You look into his pretty yes, wishing he was smiling so you could see his dimples.
Ghost looms over you, "sit her up," he says to Soap. He sits you up and he starts to take off your tactical vest. You got shot in the spot where your vest doesn't cover, but luckily it is only a flesh wound from the bullet only grazing you, but it still hurt and you were still bleeding quite badly.
Ghost comes up to you and pulls your shirt of to expose the wound. Lifting your arms in the air sends a shock of pain up your side.
Once you can properly see the wound, Soap lays you back down just in time for Gaz and Price to get back, Gaz disinfects the wound with Price giving guidance then successfully giving you a few stitches and a large bandage on your side.
"Wow y/n, you sure are lucky to have only been grazed," Gaz says while handing you some pain pills and an ice pack.
"Thanks, that's what I was going for," you say sarcastically while covered in sweat from the pain and taking the ice pack.
"Hey Soap," Price says prompting Soap to let go of your hand, "help me clean of the table and put the med stuff away,"
"You got it, cap," Soap says giving you half a smile then going to start cleaning up the kit.
Ghost helps you off of the table and walks you back to your room. He lets you use his forearm as a brace as you walk weakly to your bed. Ghost helps you into your bed and helps you get your boots off.
"You should have taken him out before he could get to you," Ghost says without looking up at your face.
"You know, I have never shot someone. Didn't really think of it," you say rolling your eyes.
"Don't use that attitude with me," he finally looks up to your face and looms over you, "your injury could have compromised the whole mission," Ghost raised his voice.
You go to sit on your elbows and raise your voice back, "if it wasn't for me we could have never found- ow!" You took in a deep breath and slightly stretched the skin around your new stitches. Ghost immediately softens his body language and instinctively grabs one of your hands and the back of your head to lay you back down.
"Y/n, you should be more careful," Ghost places the ice pack near your stitches and starts to sit down next to your bed on the floor.
"Yeah, maybe I shouldn't yell, I'm sorry," you say turning your head away from where he is sitting
Ghost grabs your hand and mutters, "I'm sorry, too," under his mask.
You two sit in silence for a while with your hand in his before you fall asleep.
After a while of you being asleep, Ghost lifts his mask to his nose and gives you a shallow kiss on your hand before pulling his mask back down and leaving your room.

You sleep for a few hours, but eventually Soap quietly knocks on your door and enters.
"Hey, lass," he says approaching you and standing over your bed, "I brought you some dinner."
You prop yourself up against the wall and start to open your eyes, "thanks Soap, you didn't have to."
"Lass, of course I did. I wouldn't want you to go hungry," he says with a slight smile and handing you a plate of delicious food that Gaz definitely made, "Price wanted me to tell you that we are leaving first thing tomorrow. We completed the mission because of you."
"It wasn't just me, you guys did all of the heavy lifting, literally," you say starting to pick at the food.
"Don't undersell yourself, y/n," Soap says, "get some good rest, just leave the plate next to your bed when you're done, we can get it in the morning before we leave," he says before leaving.

You set your alarm to give you extra time to pack and clean up a bit that the others don't need before you sleep.
You get up early, but as you sit up to get out of bed, you notice someone on your floor.
You nudge them with your foot and say, "excuse me, what are you doing on my floor?"
Oddly enough, Ghost rolls over, "sorry, love, couldn't sleep," he politely says through a tried voice.
"Ok then, how about since your here, you help me pack," you say trying to stand up through the pain.
Ghost quickly get up off the floor and helps you stand up, "don't push yourself, love. Even if you did go and get yourself shot, we still need you around."
You look up at him confusedly, but take his help, "why are you being so nice to me?" You ask making your way out of the room.
As you reach for the door knob, Ghost puts his hand on the door forcing it to stay shut. He puts one hand on your shoulder and starts sliding it up your collar bone and neck, "well, someone's gotta keep us in check, especially someone who looks as good as you," his hand stops under your chin and tilts your head up so he can fully see your face. You feel heat begin to rise in your cheeks and butterflies in your stomach. You keep eye contact with him as he holds your face and just looks at it. You find it incredibly hard to mutter a single word.
Ghost let's go of your face, letting you leave, but you just stand there in slight shock of what had just unfolded. You snap yourself out of it and leave the room to head for the bathroom, wondering if it's appropriate for you to catch feelings for your lieutenant.
