You wake up unhappy that you have to go mandatorily exercise. You get dressed and pull your hair back. As your standing in your kitchen, filling a water bottle, Soap knocks on your door.
"Who is it?" You yell to your door,
"Soap!"
"Come on in, it's unlocked,"
Soap walks in and meets you in your kitchen, "you know, you should really lock your doors at night, lass,"
"Really now? I could have never thought of that!" You sarcastically reply, "I went out to check my mail earlier and didn't lock it again when I walked back inside,"
"Oh, anyway, are you ready to go?"
"Yeah, let's go," you say grabbing your purse and water as you head to the front door.
"You know how Ghost called you out for dress code before?"
"Um, yeah?" You look back at him.
"Do you think he'll be okay with those shorts?" Soap asks.
"I think Ghost will just have to get over it, they are the only running short I own. I've had them since high school and they are still in good shape," you say as you usher Soap out of your flat then closing and locking the door behind you two.
You walk to the field to see the rest of the team waiting for you.
"Oh, you two finally made it!" Price says, "okay team, let's start with a lap!"
The field is roughly the same size as an American size football field and the track around it is 1/4 mile.
The rest of the team smokes you in running, you are dead last place and winded at the end. Everyone else looks fine. Next is conditioning. Lunges down the track, push ups, lemon squeezers, and planks. Hell on earth for you, but luckily Price reduces the amount of each for you. Everyone else has to do 50 of each, the a minute plank, you have to do 25 of each and 30 second plank. It still kills you. But the worse part is when everyone goes to the weight room. You are immediately intimidated by your very buff teammates and the other soldiers in the room. But instead of you having to fit in with them, Price send Soap to take you too the shooting range, just so you can learn the basics.
"Okay, y/n, I know this can be a little intimidating, but you're just going to learn the basics," Soap says calmly too you, looking you in the eyes and giving you a soft smile. Soap teaches you how to load, unload, turn the safety on and of, and cock the gun before you even pick it up. "Gun safety is very important, now because you don't technically have permission to have one off of base we're not going to give you one like everyone else has," Soap says trying to make a joke,
You giggle and look down, "really now? How about you just teach me how to shoot, pretty boy?" You start freaking out on the inside, you had started to squire feelings, but you never thought you would be bold enough to to flirt like that, you're not even sure he we flirting with you!
"Well, okay then," he says smiling, but you can't tell if he blushing or just red from the work out, "pick it up, turn off the safety, cock it, and shoot,"
You do as your told, but from your brain racking from your unintentional nickname you gave him, your aim was shit at best. You hit the target, but barely by the outer line, "not my best work, but I hit the target!" Grabbing at anything to redeem yourself.
"You did hit the target, good girl," he says looking you in the eye, "but let's try this instead," he moves behind you, wrapping his arms around you and putting his hands on yours, "ok, y/n, look at where you want to shoot just above the tip of the gun,"
Your heart is beating fast and you hope he can't tell, "okay," you try to say as cool as possible.
"Next, take a deep breath, and as you release, pull the trigger," Soap says quieter in your ear, you take a deep breath and do as your told. You hit much closer to the bullseye this time, but still not quite perfect, yet Soap is still there around you, and in your ear he says, "good girl, much better than last time,". He starts to back away and you have to put all of your will power into not letting your body vibrate from that experience as you set the gun back on the table.
Soap starts to clean up the firearm as your lesson is finished for the day, even if you would want that to never end, and he asks, "what are you doing tomorrow night, lass?"
You haven't made any other friends yet, so you assume all your doing is laying around and watching tv for your day off, "nothing, I'm completely free," you say sound not desperate than you would've liked.
"Good, I would like to take you out to dinner. If that's okay with you?" He ask with a smile.
It take every bit of energy not to faint as the sight of a strong, pretty man, asks you out, and asks your consent.
You start to smile, "yeah, yeah, I would really like that!" You say just before someone walks in.
"Oi, Johnny and new girl, Price is calling a briefing," none other than the romance killer, Ghost interrupts. He didn't even have the courtesy to say your name.
"Okay, we're on our way," Soap tells Ghost before turning back to you as Ghost leaves. "6 pm, I'll pick you up from your place, dress nice, lass," Soap says to you before picking up the box and walking out with you too the briefing room.

You two reach the briefing room and sit down with the rest of the team.
"Ok, 141, thanks to y/n's excellent work, we can push up our mission to tomorrow," Price says immediately ruining yours and Soaps dinner plans, "so pack your bags and be here at 7 am, sharp!"

Curse your excellent work ethic.
