Price walks with you down the hallway and points out places like the briefing room and the restroom, until you both arrive at a small room at the end of the hallway.
"And this," he takes a dramatic pause to open the door, "is your office,"
It's a small room that's longer than it is wide with three skinny windows at the top of the back wall. There are empty built in bookshelves lining the wall the the door is in, you plan to fill them. A small leather love seat and wooden coffee table sets in the middle of the room. Lastly, pushed agains the back wall is your set up. Three monitors, expensive tower, and decent keyboard and wireless mouse, along with a comfy desk chair that matches the couch.
"It's pretty standard, hope you can still get your work done in it," Price says to you with a comforting smile, "if you want you can rearrange the furniture, there is an outlet underneath the coffee table in the floor,"
"It's great!" you say beaming,"and the set up looks amazing!"
"Good, well, we have briefing around 10:30 where you'll get your first few assignments and get to meet the rest of the team," Price says,
"Lovely, that gives me time to rearrange things and log on,"
Price leaves the room and set to rearrange your office. You move the desk to the middle of the room to face the door and push the couch and coffee table to the back wall to make a comfy corner for your breaks.

At 10:20, you head to the briefing room to make sure you're not late and so you can make a good impression on your first day.
When you walk in, Price is standing at the front getting notes ready and struggling to get his PowerPoint to work,
"God damnit!" Price growls at the computer,
"Want any help, Price?" You offer,
"Sure, you can try. I can't get the damn thing to present properly,"
"Okay, first you need to unfreeze the projector, then hit escape on the format option, then..." you stop talking as you pull up the PowerPoint and flip through the slides with ease,
"Well, y/n, I think you just earned yourself the job of making these presentations," Price jokes,
"Hmm- I don't think that's in my job description," you joke back.
Just as you go to take your seat, a tall man in a skull mask walks in.
"Mornin', Price," he says with a deep gravely accent
"Morning Ghost, I want you to meet our new addition to the team, y/n," Price says as you stand up and extend your hand to Ghost, "she'll be working in remote recon and cybersecurity for our team, and she'll  be on the ground with us on missions, but not in the field."
"Um- hi, Ghost I take it? Im looking forward to work with you all," you say to him having to look up to meet his eyes.
"An American? Does she even have any military training?" Ghost asks as if he was insulted,
"No, but she doesn't need it, she won't be fighting, the closest she'll get to action is sitting in a base telling us the layout of a place," Price says trying to defend you,
"You should at give her basic combat and firearm training," Ghost shortly replies to Price before turning to you, "sweetie, I'm sure you've got some of the best knowledge on technology, but have you ever even held a gun?" Ghost says condescendingly,
"First," you say offended, "I'm not your sweetie, and second, I have only ever held a nerf gun,"
"Okay!" Price says trying to break the tension in the room, "well, how about you take your seat lieutenant, and look over your notes."
You take your seat and soon a familiar face walks in talking to some other man.
"Howdy, stranger," you say to the man with the mohawk, he looks stunned and as he's about to speak-
"Ok everyone, we've got a new member of 141!" Price announces to the room, cutting off the thought of the man, "stand up, introduce yourself," Price says gesturing to you.
"Hi everyone, I'm y/n. I'm from America, and I have a degree in cybersecurity." You announce to the room,
Price starts up again, "ok, and with that y/n will be helping us with remote recon. After the brief you two can introduce yourself to her," he says looking at the man with the mohawk and the other man before continuing the brief.
After the brief, you start to head back to your office to start on your assignment. You make it to your office and just as you close the door you hear a knock.
You open the door to find the man with the mohawk and the other man with him, he starts, "nice to see you again, y/n. I haven't formally introduced myself yet, John MacTavish, but everyone calls me Soap." He says with that same smile from this morning.
"Well, nice to meet you, Soap, and you?" You say before turning to the other man,
"Oh, I'm Kyle Garrick, but everyone calls me Gaz," he says with a coolness that rolls off of him.
"Nice to meet you two, but I better get this computer set up and started on this stuff," you say holding up a file,
"Yeah, wouldn't want to keep you from it," Soap says before turning to leave and pulling Gaz behind him.
You sit down at your desk and start setting up all of the little details before delving into your work for the day.
Around 1, you hear a knock on your door, it's Price,
"Hey kid, just wanna see how it comin' along," he says as if he's known you for hot minute.
"It's going fine, hey, I've got a question for you," you say changing the subject, "what's up with Ghost? I've said about two sentences to him and he's acting like I put salt in his coffee,"
Price looks at you with a comforting look, "that's just Ghost, that's how he acts to all new people. You have to gain his trust before he starts treating you like a part of his team. It'll take some time, but you'll get there, kid. Don't take it personally,"
"Ok, thanks" you say before looking back at your monitor,
"Also, it's lunch time, you have and hour break, get yourself something to eat, don't want my new teammate going hungry on their first day!" Price smiles at you and gives you a pat on the shoulder before leaving and closing the door behind him.
You take a quick break and grab the bag of goldfish from your bag to snack on while you scroll through your phone. You return to work and realize that you are getting paid way too much for what your currently doing, but you won't complain. You finish the day and head home, but as your walking home in the dark, you feel like someone is following. You pick up the pace and lock your door once your safely inside your flat.
