Prologue (0,1)

"Again." Tyra raised her sword and jabbed it towards his ribs with a grunt, the sword obviously too big for her small hands, while he lazily swiped his sword, effectively blocking her blow before shoving her forward.

Tyra tripped on her own feet because of the shove, the sword clattering out of her hand as she rubbed at her sore back.

Siva pushed his braided blonde hair behind his ears, resting his forearms on the perfectly fitted sword for his height while he stared down at Tyra.

"Your footing is terrible." Tyra huffed, grabbing a fistful of dirt before throwing it directly at Siva's war paint covered bottom face.

He spat out and attempted at wiping at his mouth, while Tyra rushed at him from below, trying to push at his legs to make him fall, but Siva side stepped her blow and instead grabbed onto her waist, hoisting her atop his shoulder.

Tyra pounded her fists against Siva's back, though to him, after all his training and the pain that came from such, it felt like mere flies standing on his skin.

"Siva! Put me down!" Due to Tyra's missing her front teeth, her words were slightly off with a little whistle in between that made Siva chuckle as he calmly walked around with Tyra on his shoulder.

"I don't think so. Maybe this will help your footing." Siva pushed Tyra's small shoes off her feet before pressing his fingers into her skin, eliciting loud squeals that came along with Tyra wiggling on his shoulder.

"Siva! Stop!" Siva only kept tickling her, ignoring how Tyra's feet kept kicking at his chest.

"Say I am the best big brother."

"Never!" Siva only tickled her further, Tyra squealing once more over his shoulder.

"What? You prefer Moussa and his 'Duty comes first, family can wait'?"

"Yes."

"Liar."

The two, being far too caught up in their moment, failed to notice the sudden tremble of the ground around them caused by two enormous horses carrying each their respective rider in their full might.

"Siva. Leave Tyra alone." Immediately, Siva stopped his teasing at Tyra, letting her hang breathlessly against his shoulder.

"I am doing nothing, father" Agafon gave his son a disapproving look. He was well aware of how much Siva picked on his youngest, and only, sister, but he knew it all came from a place of love.

Instead, he only shuffled his son's hair, earning a scowl from him and a giggle from Tyra. "Where is your brother?"

Siva huffed, trying to straighten his hair one-handed while his other arm held on to Tyra. "He's inside with mother."

Agafon gave a stiff nod before walking inside, his steps sounding more like stomps as he left.

"You should be more careful, she is only a baby." Siva scoffed while he turned to face his older brother Hadyn, who towered over him far too much for their already significant age gap.

"She has seen six winters already, Hadyn. She is old enough to learn."

"Hadyn! Siva is being a bad big brother." As he always did, Hadyn went to save Tyra from Siva's grasp, who didn't even protest as he took her away into his arms, holding her against his hip, careful to rest her over the hilt of his sword, so she would not harm herself in the process.
