Chapter 45

VIOLETTAS POV

I wake up in a dim room. I'm still a bit dizzy but can make out 10 shadows, standing in front of me. "I see your awake" I hear a familiar voice say.

I squint my eyes to try and make out who's talking. I suddenly remember everything. It's him, he's the one who captured me.

It's Thomas.

"Why are you doing this" I ask sternly. I am tied to a chair and the knots seem pretty strong. There's a long silence.

"Well use your brain, why would I want to hurt you". I think for a few seconds. "There are no reasons" I simply answer. "Exactly" he says, "it's not you I'm trying to hurt by doing this, but someone close to you" ...

{meanwhile}

LEONS POV

My mom asked to talk to me so I'm walking down there right now. "What do you want this time mom" I asked a bit angry.

"No need to use that tone, son" she says smirking. "I heard you went on a trip" she says, oh no what's is she up to now. "You went with that girl didn't you" she asks sternly,

"no I went with my fiancé and her friend" I say, trying to twist the words around to make it seem like I'm right and she's wrong.

She looks at me confused. "Lara is friends with Violetta, it's not my fault" I say while walking out, I win this time mom.

I walk back to my room to find something surprising awaiting me...

{a couple of minutes earlier}

VIOLETTAS POV

Thomas just finished explaining, I'm surprised. I didn't expect it to have anything to do with what happened back then.

"S-so that's why you want to get back at Leon" I ask, not wanting to truly accept the situation. He nods his head smirking.

I had completely forgotten about that, but now I remember that Leon caused that event. This wouldn't have happened if he wasn't so mean and self centered back then.

As I thinking everything over, I hear a door burst open. "Violetta where are you" I hear a very similar voice say. I look around the room. That's when I see his face.

{a couple minutes earlier}

LEONS POV

I look at my phone surprised. I have a message from an unknown address. "Violetta is safe for now, but I can't guarantee the future" is what it reads.

I see there's an attachment. I click on it to reveal a picture of Violetta tied up in a dark place.

I clench my fists with anger at the thought of Violetta being tied up. I look down to see a caption, "If you want her safe come alone at this address"

I grab my jacket and run out the door.

I must go and save her...
