You were untied, and lead down a hall by Dabi. But he stopped before you two went any further than a few steps. He turned to you. "Close your eyes and do not open them." He said lowly. "If you even think about opening them..." He trailed off, remembering that no threats rule. But right now he didn't really give a shit. This was not suppose to happen. You did as you were told and closed your eyes, you felt Dabi take hold of your hand before you both continued to walk.

It felt like hours, but finally Dabi told you to open your eyes again. It was night already. You found yourself in a alleyway that lead to the street, the same street that would lead you home. Dabi looked out of the corner of the alleyway, checking if there would be anyone walking around. Once it was clear, he took you by the hand again and lead you up the street. You wanted to tell him you could walk just fine without his help, but you were tired, drained even. So you just let him do what he wanted.

Finally you reached your house, both of you walked inside. Dabi stood there for a moment, just watching you as you walked further into the house before he made for the exit. "See ya." Was all he said as he put his hand on the door knob. However, his actions stopped when he heard sniffling. Then a choked sob. He sighed and turned back around. He could see your shoulders trembling as you cried. Great, just great. He walked closer to you and awkwardly went to put a hand on your shoulder to comfort you, but brought it back. "Hey, stop that."

You didn't stop, in fact another sob left you. The more you thought about what happened back there, when Shigaraki had your life in his hands, the more it made you sick. You could still feel his cold hand around your neck.

"Come on, look, I don't know what to do with people who cry. So stop." Dabi said, this time a bit more softly. "H-How could you say that?" You sniffle. "You weren't the one on death's door!" You turn to him, tears flooded down your cheeks. "I was so scared, I didn't know what was happening or what would happen. I thought he was going to kill me! So don't you tell me to stop crying, just because you don't know how to handle emotions!"

That was fair. Dabi wasn't the best when it came to stuff like this. He just stood there awkwardly, unsure of what to do. He sighed again, rubbing the back of his neck. "How did you even get there?" He asked. You wiped a few of your tears away before answering him. "That girl, the blonde one. She...she looked just like you. I guess that's her quirk, to look like other people. Anyways, she's the one who brought me there. Because she looked like you, I trusted her."

Well, trust is a strong word. "And she knocked me out. Then the next thing I knew I was there."

"Toga, that little brat." Dabi muttered. He wondered how she even got his blood to begin with. Then he remembered the night he was here, when you were patching up the cuts on his stomach. Toga had been responsible for that. That's how she got his blood. "Damn it."

There was a brief silence, the only thing that could be heard was the occasional sniffle from you. Dabi looked to you, you were still shaking. He moved his hand back up and placed it on your shoulder. You gave him a confused look. "You'll be fine. I'm not going to let what happened tonight happen again. I promise. So, stop crying."

"How can you be so sure?" You asked. "Because I'll burn Shigaraki's ass up if he tries it again. That's how." He moved his hand away and turned back to the door. "I'll be seeing you around." He waved before quickly leaving.

From outside, Dabi slumped against the door. He really shouldn't be making promises like that. He took out another cigarette and smoked it as he walked back to the League.

Meanwhile you had only just stopped crying, more confused than upset. Was Dabi trying to comfort you just now?  You'd be lying if you said it didn't work. Kind of. It defiantly wasn't perfect, and totally assuring, but at least he tried? It was unexpected, that's for certain. You'd never think that someone like Dabi even had it him to try and comfort someone. Let alone care enough to do it. Or attempt to do it, in this case.

If left you wondering, why? Why would Dabi care if you were left utterly traumatized or not? He didn't care about you, he made that very clear. He only needed you to heal him, for a place to stay, and that was all. So why would he care enough to comfort you like he did? And it might have been your imagination, but...did he seem concerned? You could hear it in his voice when he asked why you were there at the League.

And another thing, why would he want you to keep your "business" with him secret? He didn't want you telling Shigaraki that you could heal. Why is that? Was he...trying to keep you safe?

Or maybe he was just being selfish, only wanting to keep you and your healing to himself. Yeah, that had to have been it. What else could it have been? Dabi didn't care if you were safe or not, he just needed you around to heal him. Yeah, that was it. But...if that were the case, why did he comfort you? Why did he try to make you feel safe?

This was just too confusing, and you were too tired to try and figure it out tonight. After everything that happened, it left you mentally and emotionally drained. You just wanted to go to bed and forget it all.

But you could never forget the feeling of Shigaraki's hand around your throat. That would stick with you for a good long while. With a heavy sigh, you decided to hit the hay, and worry about it tomorrow.
