"You're so cute!" You say right before your new puppy licks your face. "And it's all thanks to my loving boyfriend, that I have you." You brought the puppy closer, snuggling him. Dabi was looking up how to care for a puppy while you were playing with him. If he was really going to share you with a dog, he might as well learn how to care for it. "So, we got the food, toys, and the puppy pads, anything else we need?" Dabi as as he puts his phone away. You almost didn't hear him, the puppy was jumping all over you and yapping happily. "Huh? Oh, uh, no not at the moment. We'll need to get him into the vet every once and a while, just to make sure he's healthy."

"Right, well you have fun with him." Dabi said before turning to go upstairs. "Wait!" You stopped him, standing from the floor, holding the puppy in your arms as you did so. "We haven't named him yet." Dabi sighs before turning back around. "It doesn't really matter what name you pick, why do you need my help with..." Dabi trailed off as he saw how cute you and the puppy looked. You were practically giving him the same puppy dog eyes as the actual puppy was.

"...Kuro." Toya muttered. "What was that?" You ask with a grin. "His name is Kuro." Dabi says more clearly. You took a look at the puppy, his black fur matched perfectly with his new name. He had the prettiest blue eyes as well. Kuro yipped at Dabi, tail wagging. "Aw, I think he likes it!" Dabi couldn't help but crack a smile. "Yeah?" You nod your head. "I think he likes you too." You raise Kuro up to Dabi. Kuro licked his cheek over and over, tail still wagging fast. Dabi huffed out a laugh before taking Kuro. "You're the first dog who hasn't tried to bite me."

"You were serious about animals not liking you?" You ask. "Of course I was serious. I mean, I'm not the most friendly of people." Dabi says as he pets Kuro's head. "Well, you're pretty nice to me. Don't you think?" You say with a smirk. "Only to you." Dabi corrects. "And Maria. And Kuro apparently." You chuckle, Dabi rolls his eyes. Kuro wriggled in Dabi's arms, Dabi set him down so he could go play. Kuro nearly tripped as he ran to his toys, it was truly an adorable sight.

"I just love him so much." You say, heart clenching, but in a good way. "Hopefully not more than me." Dabi joked. You turned to him, wrapping your arms around his neck. You planted a soft kiss on his lips before speaking. "Of course not. I love you both equally." Dabi's breath paused for a second, he looked at you with wide eyes. It was then you realized what you just said.

"You love me?" Dabi asks. You felt heat rise to your face. You had never said that you loved him before, of course you did love him, but you never knew just when to say it. You nod. "Of course I love you." Dabi brought you in close and kissed you passionately, you were taken aback by his sudden actions. He suddenly attacked your face and neck with kisses. "Dabi!" You gasp. "Not in front of Kuro!"

"Then let's go upstairs." Dabi rasped in your ears. "Dabi! What has gotten into you all of a sudden?" You push him back lightly. "You love me." He looks down at you with a cocky grin. You pout at his teasing, looking away with a slightly red face. "So what if I do?" Dabi laughed before kissing your cheek.

"I love you too, sweetheart."

You felt your heart flutter in your chest. Finally, he finally said it. Oh how you've been dying for him to say it. You turn your head to face him once again. "Let's go upstairs..." You say under your breath. Dabi kisses you once again before walking over to Kuro. "Love to but, we can't leave this little guy alone, now can we?"

Your face turned a deeper shade of red. "You're the one who wanted to go first!" Dabi just laughed before he played with Kuro. You sigh but smile before joining the two.

Dabi stared at your sleeping form, he couldn't get much sleep himself tonight. Not after hearing what you said. That you love him. Dabi didn't think he could be loved by anyone, not after everything he's done. He never thought he was capable of loving someone else either. He felt he wasn't deserving of it. He could have gone his entire life like that too. With that knowledge that he was an unlovable monster. He was content with that, well, before he was anyway. But now, now that he had you, he wasn't sure if he could ever go back to feeling like that.

You made him want that yearning, to receive love, to give someone love. He never thought someone could make him feel the way you make him feel. He wanted it, that love you had for him. He never wanted it to stop. He wanted you all for himself, he never wanted to let you go. Not ever again.

"You're staring."

Dabi froze before relaxing. "How long have you been awake?" He asks you. You open your eyes to look at him. "A minute or two, I couldn't shake the feeling that something was watching me. And turns out, I was right." You smile. "Is something wrong?"

"Did...Did you mean what you said?" Dabi asks. "Hm?" You hum. "That, you love me. Did you really mean it?" You furrow your brow and sat up, Dabi followed. "Why would you ever think I didn't mean it?" You ask softly. Dabi avoided your eyes. "I've been alone for a long time Y/n. I was so use to it, being alone. There was no one I had in my life that cared about me like you do, loved me like you do. I don't think I could handle it, if someday, you were to stop loving me."

"Toya." You stroke his cheek gently. "I love you so much, more than you could ever know. There isn't anything, or anyone in this world that could ever change that. The only way I'd ever stop loving you, is if I died. And even then, I'd love you from beyond the grave."

"Don't even say things like that, I want you around for a long time." Dabi took your hand and kissed it. "I'm being stupid, aren't I?"

"Yes you are." You laughed. "Toya, don't ever think I wouldn't love you. Please." Dabi nods and pulls you in close, he hid his face in your neck and took in your scent. Your presence was so calming, and your words were so reassuring. How did he ever get so lucky?

"I love you too, so much. You know that?" Dabi asks. You rubbed his back as you hugged him. "I know."

The two of you eventually ended up falling back asleep. Together entwined, hand in hand. It took a lot of work, a lot of patience, but you two made it work. You've never felt more close to Dabi, and Dabi had never felt more safe with anyone but you. Despite it all, it was worth it.

You were finally together, and would be, for a very very long time. An nothing, no one, would ever separate you two ever again...
