'I'll tell you when the time comes.'

What had he meant by that? Did it mean Dabi didn't trust you enough yet to tell you his real name? You could understand that. It was very personal to him, so was the story of his abusive father. You hadn't expected that from Dabi. You had the feeling something real fucked up happened for him to turn out this way. And obviously something did, like, you've seen his scars. It only made you more curious. What kind of accident caused those scars? Or, was it not an accident at all?

Whichever it was, your curiosity only grew stronger. But the smarter part of you wanted to stop, it wasn't your business. Dabi might not ever be ready to explain himself to you, not that he had to anyway.

You could ague that you basically poured your heart out and explained your past to him, you were owed a little more from him as well. Then again, Dabi had gotten really personal with you. He didn't have to tell that story. But he did. That should be enough. Why did you care so much anyway? You would find yourself asking a lot lately.

You might never know. And speaking of Dabi, he's been real absent these past couple of weeks. You had no idea where he was or what he was doing, or if he were hurt or alive. That is, until you saw the news...

There was a teenage boy who had been kidnapped by the League Of Villains. And during the rescue of the boy, All Might had fought Japan's most notorious villain, All For One. Then after the battle was won in the hero's favor...

All Might, the symbol of peace, was forced to retire as the number one hero.

Dabi had returned a week later, it was midnight. He figured you'd be asleep by now, but he was quickly proven wrong when he saw you in the living room on the couch, still awake. "I see you're still awake." Dabi said as he closed the door behind him. "Don't tell me you were waiting for me." He smirked. His smirk fell when he didn't get a response from you. "What? You in a bad mood or something? I'm not surprised, you always find something to be pissed off about when it comes to me." He walked closer to you. "What did I do wrong this time?"

"You kidnapped a child. Not to mention you helped destroy the symbol of peace."

His eyes slightly widened, but returned to normal. "Oh, is that all?" He asked. "I honestly didn't care much about the kid, that was Shigaraki's doing. And technically that was All For One who wiped out the symbol of peace." You said nothing to that, making Dabi scowl. "Look, what were you expecting? Shigaraki wanted All Might gone from the very beginning. He's a villain, of course he would. And I'm a villain as well, or did you forget?"

You look over at him, to his surprise, you didn't look angry. But you didn't look too happy either. "I haven't forgotten." You say before looking away again. "Then what's your problem?" Dabi asks. "I don't have a problem." You mutter. "I just didn't expect it is all."

Dabi sighed before sitting next to you. "You look up to him or something?" You shook your head no. "I told you, the only hero I loved was my mother."

"Not even Hawks? I mean, most women drool all over him. Besides, he saved your life." You look at Dabi. "Didn't you save me?" Dabi met your gaze. "Not really."

"But, when I was...um freaking out, you helped me." Dabi looked away from you. "I don't save people." He said firmly. "I handed you over to Hawks for a reason."

"Because you wanted to keep me safe."

Dabi scowled. The audacity of you to assume that's why he did it. Well, you weren't wrong, but still! Sure he made the choice to keep you out of harms way while he fought Endeavor, but that was only because he still needed you to do your healing job. Nothing more. As Dabi began to defend himself, you spoke again.

"After all." You say as you stood from the couch. "You can't have your only healer out of commission, right?" You headed for your bedroom. "And to answer your question. I don't find Hawks all that attractive. He's not my type."

Ha! Oh how Dabi wanted to tell that to his face and drop his ego all the way to the ground. He laughed at your words. "I dare you to say that to him. no, I want you to. Do it for me, won't you?" You crack a smile. "You got a hate boner for the guy or something?" You ask, making Dabi frown. "Take that shit back."

"Hm, no I don't think I will. It's pretty obvious you do."

"Alright." Dabi stood from the couch. "I'll make you." He says lowly. Uh oh. You quickly shut your bedroom door, and held your body against it. You could hear Dabi pounding on the other side. "Let me in smartass before I burn this door down."

"No!" You giggle. "Begone you menace!"

"Menace? Oh, how you wound me. Now I'm really going to have to punish you."

You could feel the weight of Dabi's strength as he pushed the door open, it was just enough for him to peak his head through. "Let me in." You yelp and tried your hardest to shut the door, but he managed to push it all the way open. You stumbled, but Dabi caught you. He pulled you in close, his eyes boring into your own. You felt as if you were shrinking from under his gaze.

"Oh what to do with you..." He chuckled. You tried pulling away, but Dabi held you tight. "This can be solved so quickly sweetheart, all you have to do is apologize." You stood your ground and defiantly stared back at Dabi. He shrugged. "Suit yourself." Dabi lifted you up and threw you over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes before walking towards your bed.

He threw you onto the soft bed before towering over you. Your heart skipped a beat, and your breathing paused for a moment. Ok, fun and game were over. What was he doing? Dabi pinned your wrists up above your head before leaning down to whisper in your ear.

"You're gonna learn not to fuck with me, sweetheart."

Heat bloomed in your cheeks at the huskiness of his voice. "Dabi? What are you-" He cut you off by tickling your sides. You burst out in laughter, squirming under him. "Dabi! Stop!" You squeal before a fit of giggles left you. "Then apologize." Dabi paused.

"No! It's the truth!"

Dabi smirked. "Have it your way." He continued, making your laughter grow louder. Tears gathered in the corner of your eyes. "Stop!" You yell before suddenly a snort left you. You bit on your lips, eyes going wide. Dabi stopped and looked down at you with shock. "Was...was that a..."

You shut your eyes, unable to cover your face, which was bright red at this point. Dabi began laughing, only adding to your embarrassment. Though, you didn't expect for his laugh to be so...well, you didn't know how to describe it. But that didn't matter right now, you were dying over here!

"Stop laughing!"

"I can't help it, that was just so...fucking cute!" He laughed. Cute? No one's ever called your laugh...well, snort, cute before. You slowly open your eyes, and saw something you didn't expect to see. A genuine look of joy on Dabi's face. That, and his laughter, there was almost something human to it. Like, it was as if Dabi wasn't a deadly villain. Like he wasn't heartless. You still felt heat in your cheeks, but assumed it was still from the embarrassment.

"You...really think it's cute?" You ask softy. Dabi let go of your wrist, but still lingered above you. "Why wouldn't I?" Again, your heart skipped a beat. "Well, your laugh is pretty cute too." You mutter, catching Dabi off guard. There was a brief moment where the two of you just stared at each other. Dabi opened his mouth to say something, but the sound of his phone buzzing cut him off.

He scowled, already knowing who it was from. Dabi moved off of you and stood from the bed. You suddenly felt very cold.

"What is it now?" He said under his breath as he looked at his phone. As he read the text, his body tensed. You noticed this. "Dabi? Is uh, everything ok?" You ask. Dabi turned back to look at you.

"Shigaraki wants to see you."
