3RD POV
The steady clack of keyboard keys echoed in the quiet room. It was the only sound breaking the peaceful silence, the faint hum of the computer blending seamlessly into the stillness.
"I'm already there..." A man muttered, his deep voice barely audible over the keystrokes.
Leaning forward in his ergonomic chair, his dark skin gleamed faintly in the sunlight, the rugged scar slashing from his eyebrow to his cheekbone adding a fierce edge to his otherwise composed demeanor.
The game on the screen reflected in the shiny surface of his eye patch: a yellow circle darting through a maze, evading brightly colored ghosts. His fingers moved with practiced ease, deftly guiding Pac-Man toward pixelated victory. For someone who spent years strategizing against global threats, this was child's play—literally.
A sharp knock at the door sliced through his concentration like a whip. Fury's hands froze mid-keystroke. His face hardened; game forgotten in an instant. With a flick of his wrist, he paused Pac-Man, closed unnecessary tabs with precise clicks, and straightened his desk with a swift, habitual motion. Everything was always in its place.
"Come in," he called.
The door creaked open, and a younger agent stepped inside, his posture just shy of nervous. He wore a standard-issue uniform. In his hands, he carried a folder stamped with a bright, bold CLASSIFIED. Even from across the room, it looked like it weighed a ton.
"I hope I'm not interrupting," the agent said, offering a sheepish smile that didn't quite reach his eyes. He approached the desk with measured steps, handling the folder like it might explode.
"Not at all." The seated man shook his head with composure.
"Just attending to some computer maintenance," he offered by way of explanation, settling into his seat with a subtle shift of posture.
The agent nodded, looking both relieved and slightly amused. He placed the folder on Fury's desk with a careful hand, stepping back as if to give the document space to breathe.
"Mr. Fury, I'm here to deliver this to you."
Fury's brow furrowed, his good eye narrowing as he flipped through the folder.
