Y/N'S POV

Once we were all quiet, Jihyo smiled, her expression mischievous as she prepared to give the next instructions.

"Challenge number 2; one participant from each group will be dragged from end to end, the first group to reach the destination will win."

Her voice echoed in the silence, and as she finished speaking, she gestured towards the positions, "You may now go to your positions."

Our group had already chosen our two representatives for the game, as had the rival group, so Jihyo quickly ushered them to the start line.

Obeying, Chaeyoung was about to get into position when she suddenly stopped dead in her tracks. Her eyes fixed on the ground, she crouched down. In her foamy hand, I noticed a small, pink bar—surely a soap.

She glanced around furtively, making sure no one saw what she had just picked up.

Her eyes met mine, and I raised an eyebrow at her. She responded with a sly wink before silently walking over to Mina, who was deep in thought.

Chaeyoung whispered something to the older girl and then showed her the pink bar. Mina's face lit up, her eyes sparkling with sudden inspiration, as if a light bulb had just switched on above her head. With a knowing smile, Mina pointed to the ground, specifically to the opposing team's lane.

Nodding in understanding, Chaeyoung tiptoed towards the indicated spot, with me watching expectantly. She placed the bar of soap on the floor, then used her foot to discreetly cover it with the surrounding foam, rendering it invisible among the white bubbles.

Mission accomplished, Chaeyoung quickly returned to her position, standing right beside Mina.

Jihyo, seeing that all four participants were ready while the rest of us had taken our seats to watch, stepped up next to the plastic blanket marking the course.

She raised her hand in the air, and the others, as if on cue, assumed their starting positions.

"1, 2—" Jihyo began counting, lowering one finger with each number.

Mina and Momo were seated on the floor, gripping the hands of their partners, Chaeyoung and Dahyun. Their faces were a blend of excitement and nervousness, smiles strained with the pressure to stay positive.

"—3!"

On Jihyo's signal, the standing girls sprang into action.

Chaeyoung and Dahyun began pulling their partners with determined strength. For the first three seconds, the competition was evenly matched, but then Momo and Dahyun skillfully surged ahead, taking the lead.

"Chae!" Mina squealed, her voice a mix of anxiety and excitement. I couldn't tell if her high-pitched tone was due to fear of losing or nervousness about the possibility of her teammate getting hurt.

Unlike Chaeyoung, whose adrenaline seemed to take over in her small frame. With a face set in determined concentration, she pulled harder and faster, somehow managing to catch up with the rival team.

Dahyun glanced sideways at Chaeyoung, who was now parallel to her.

Upon seeing this, Dahyun also gave it her all.
