"I hope the tea is to your liking, your highness" said Marcus, his demeaner calm as he sat across from the prince, leg crossed over the other and his hands intwined together upon his thigh. His unfazed attention was on the prince whose long slender fingers held the handle of the porcelain cup gracefully and his enchanting yet cold golden eyes stared emotionless at the dark liquid steaming it's evaporating water.
"I find it's taste quite exquisite to the tea I had the last time I had visited your estate" Damon answered, eyeing the tea once more before placing it on the saucer again. The prince's attention sliced over to the Duke of Aureum. Marcus' expression said nothing to Damon's response, and he only listened quietly on his chair. Damon looked down at his own reflection mirroring from the maroon-coloured hot liquid. "I assume you don't purchase it from the capital anymore, ay Marcus?" Damon raised a thin eyebrow, quite curious on where it comes from.
"No actually, my daughter Ariana has taken a sudden liking to gardening tea leaves in the greenhouse. So, I stopped the purchase of tea leaves a couple of weeks ago."
Damon took another sip of his tea, this time he let the bittersweet taste linger in his mouth a little longer. The hot boiled tea leaves leaving such delightful feeling on his tongue before it disappeared down his throat. "Well then, I hope you send my regards to her for the lovely, tea she had grown."
"I certainly will" Marcus nodded his head politely, strands of his golden hair flicked down to his golden eyes.
"And if Ariana agrees I would like if she were to send me some of the tea leaves she grew since it has a far better taste than ones from the palace." Damon added.
"I will ask my daughter of your request."
"I appreciate that. Thank you, Marcus."
"It is a pleasure your highness" Duke Marcus replied back again.
The prince averted his eyes away from the cold duke who only spoke so monotonously as if he had no soul in those endlessly gold eyes of his and took a sip of his tea before he sighed deliberately.
"Well then enough about the tea" Damon leaned forward to place his cup and saucer on the coffee table "Let's discuss about your eldest daughter, Diana." The crown prince crossed his leg over the other and leaned comfortably on the sofa.
Duke straightened his posture at the mention of his eldest daughter of his who was currently sick and is nowhere to be found.
Earlier he had sent guards to Diana's room to call her over to the room. Since Crown Prince Damon had requested her because of something he may have speculated what it is but hasn't got much of evidence to back up his belief. Nevertheless, the people returned without Diana. They claimed she was not in her quarters neither did anyone had seen her leave nor see her walking anywhere in the mansion. So, he sent a search party to look for that nuisance of a daughter who had to cause another commotion on a day such as this.
