XYREE'S POV
after that refreshing bath, i got myself done and got into my car
i started the engine of my car and drove off
gavin's place it is
i drove for an hour or so before i got into gavin's house
i parked my car outside and got into his gate
i rang the doorbell a couple of times before he got out
"xyree? what are you doing here?" he asked
"i was worried sick when you left the school with such face and when tita told me that you're not coming home i just drove my ass here" i said
i didn't heard him say anything
"pwede mo ba ako papasukin?" i sarcastically said
"oh, o-of course come in" he said
weird, he never stutter in front of me before kagabi lang and today
naglakad ako papasok ng bahay niya and as soon as i entered his house i smelled alcohol
"you're drinking again huh? what's the reason this time?" i asked
"nothing" he replied
umupo ako sa sofa at ganon din ang ginawa niya
"tell me, what's wrong? you've been staring at me and matthew during the whole class" i said
he looked at me
"well sinabi ko naman na before, i hate seeing you with matthew and when i saw you laughing with him first thing in the morning, hurts me" he said
i just looked at him and didn't said a word
"it's not my thing to talk about how i feel and you, of all people know that but i don't know, i guess i changed" he said and chuckle
it's true, ever since we were kids he was never the "showy guy" when it comes to how he really feels, he's always the picture perfect guy and seeing this side of him is all new to me
"i don't know what to say, i still can't get over the fact that you said you liked me" i said
i heard him chuckled
"well i can't blame you, i've treated you like a shit ever since we were kids" he replied
"yeah, remember that one time when you teased me until i cried my eyes out just so you can make me go home?" i said as i laughed
"yeah, that's my bad" he replied while laughing
we continued talking a lot about our past and laughed together
before i knew it, he drank all of the whisky in the bottle beside him
i guess we talked a lot that i didn't even noticed
i stared at his face, he fell asleep a while ago
i never imagined not even in my dreams that i will get the chance to bond with gavin in this way, it's refreshing and just felt genuine
what should i do now? i know in myself that gavin weigh more in my heart than matthew but i don't want to hurt matthew, he doesn't deserve it
i took a deep breath before putting gavin the jacket that i wore
i stood up and was about to leave when gavin held my hand
"xy, please choose me" he murmured, he's still asleep
i put his hand in his chest and leaned to his ears
"we'll see" i said
i stood up and looked at him one last time before i walked out of his house
what should i do?
