XYREE'S POV
"what's with the fist bump that i saw earlier?" i asked matt
"oh that? nothing, we're cool" matt replied
i gave him the apple i was cutting
"cool? you mean y'all are in good terms?" i asked
"yeah, sort of" he replied while smiling
"i told him that you chose him over me" he said
"what? you did what?" i asked in disbelief
"calm down, let me explain" he said
"yeah, you better explain yourself" i said
"well before you came he asked me what happened, why i was stressed and don't eat properly and i told him the reason" he said
"remember the time you chose gavin over me? i thought i'll be okay but i was just fooling myself, i was crying my eyes out and don't have the appetite to eat but whenever you see me at school i want you to notice nothing that's why i kept on being the way i was like before" he continued
"pretending that i was okay but i am not, i guess it hurt me more than i thought" he said
i felt tears in my cheeks
so this is all my fault huh? i knew he's not okay but i didn't bother to ask
"hey, why are you crying? it's fine, it's not your fault okay" he said
"it's my fault, kung una palang hindi na kita pinayagan na ligawan ako at maging parte ng magulong love life ko you wouldn't be here matt" i said
"i'm sorry, i'm really sorry" i said
"it's fine, i feel better now actually now that i got the chance to talk to gavin, i told him that he better take good care of you or i'll steal you away from him" he said while smiling
hinampas ko naman siya ng mahina
"loko but thank you matt, for everything" i said
"you're always welcome mi amor" he replied
i hugged him as tight as i could
MATTHEW'S POV
now that i talked to gavin and made sure that xyree will be okay in his hand i feel a lot better
i don't know, para akong nabunutan ng tinik sa dibdib
and i'm just genuinely happy for them
we heard the bathroom door opened and gavin stepped out of it
"oh hi, you done? kain na tayo i'm hungry" xyree said
naghain silang dalawa while ako tinitignan lang sila
seeing xyree smile at gavin made my heart happy because she's happy with the person she love
"kain na tayo" xyree said
kumain na kami at nang matapos na kami kumain ay sila na din ang nagligpit
maya-maya lang dumating na 'yung parents ko
"oh god matthew, you're awake how are you feeling?" my mom asked
"i'm feeling okay na ma, don't worry" i replied
"you better take a good care of yourself from now on okay?" she said
"yes po" i replied
"ija, ijo thank you for taking care of matthew habang wala kami" my mom said
"walang anuman po 'yon tita" xyree replied and smiled
"sige na pwede na kayo umuwi, again thank you" my mom said
"you're po, matt paano dito na kami hmm? pagaling ka" xyree said
"yeah" i said and smiled at her
"dude" gavin said at tinanguhan ako
i nodded too
"tita, tito dito na po kami" paalam ni xyree
"take care" my dad said
they waved their goodbye's and i watched them leave my room
"why are you smiling?" my dad asked
"nothing" i replied
i didn't notice that i was smiling, i'm just really happy for them
i guess this is it, no heavy heart and all i'm ready to close this chapter...
