GAVIN'S POV
i woke up from the sunlight touching my cheek, what time is it?
i was about to stand up when i noticed something wrapped in me
it was a jacket, i smelled it and it smells like xyree
as soon as i mentioned her name i suddenly got flashbacks from last night
i thought it was a dream but i guess it's real
i got the chance to bond with her last night although i fell asleep, i remembered we laughed a lot last night
i found myself smiling from that thought
i looked at the wall clock it's 6am
i have to take a bath and go home i still have class
i stoop up, took a bath and drove my way home
i drove for an hour before i got back in our house
"morning mom, morning dad" i greeted them good morning
"good morning, you look happy today" my mom said
"well yeah, i am" i said and smiled
"now, who's making our son smile huh?" my dad teasingly said
"it's a secret" i replied
"secret secret ka pang nalalaman diyan, sige na kumain ka na" my mom said
"oh btw, xyree called last night, asking if you got home so i told her you're in your place" mom said while putting some food in my plate
"oh she did?" i said as if xy didn't come to my place last night
"yeah, you should give her a call" mom said
"yeah, i will" i said and secretly smiled
she care about me after all
i ate and got ready para pumasok na
i was about to leave my house when i saw xy waiting outside her house
naglakad ako papunta sa kanya
"hey, you good?" i asked
"yeah, sira 'yung kotse ko kaya i called an uber wala kase si manong" she replied
"cancel it, hop in my car" i said
"nah it's fine, the uber is like 15 mins away" she replied
"you'll be late, ikaw din" i said
"ugh fine" she said
i walked with her until we reached my car
i opened the passenger seat's door as she get in
and then i walked to the driver seat and got in
"ready?" i asked
"yeah" she replied while smiling
i smiled at her and drove off
i drove for a couple of minutes before we got in our school
bumaba ako sa kotse at pinagbuksan si xyree ng pinto
"thank you" she said
i just smiled at her
"shall we?" i said
"sure" she replied while smiling
palakad na kami ng makita namin si matthew papunta sa direksyon namin
what a good timing
"hey xyxy, i thought you're taking an uber?" matthew asked
"yeah but gavin saw me waiting outside my house so inaya na lang niya ako na sumabay sa kanya" xyree replied
matthew looked at me coldly
"is that so? alright then, tara na" he said as he held xyree's hand
hinatak niya si xyree palayo sa'kin
i saw xyree looked at me and mouthed "thank you"
i just nodded and smiled at her
as soon as they left my smile fade away, that matthew gets into my nerve every fucking time
what does he take me for? a fucking loser?
