Chapter 14

Third person pov

Jade was making her way to her room. When she met Wednesday coming from the other direction of the corridor. When they both met on the doorstep. Wednesday was the first to speak

"Jade what are you doing here ?"

Wednesday had a bit of a shaking breath. And her heartbeat was not less sweet than usual. Jade noticed that.

"I go back to my room ?"

Wednesday put her hand on the doorknob like she didn't want to let Jade in. «Why won't everybody let me in ?» thought jade.

"I thought you were in Divina's room." Say Wednesday suspiciously looking everywhere but Jade.

"I'm starting to believe that no one wants to be in my presence." Say jade now completely upset. Even her own girlfriend won't let her in ? Jade will tighten her grip on these crutches before she starts to turn around. But she felt a cold hand slip gently on her wrist. Wednesday made her turn in her direction again.

"I don't want you to leave." Jade bit her bottom lips, she appreciated too much when Wednesday was pleading with her. Wednesday took the initiative to take Jade's huge bag before opening the door without another word. Jade entered and was horrified to find the side of Wednesday's room ravaging.

"I haven't completely finished tidying up your side of the room. That's why I was reluctant to your sudden arrival" Said Wednesday putting Jade's bag on her bed.

"What happened ?"

"Thing got stabbed. But I'll make sure whoever's doing it pays for it. Painfully and as slowly as possible." Jade knew that the facade of revenge hid a slight hint of sadness. She cared about Thing even more than she did.

"I'm so sorry Wednesday" Jade feels a wave of guilt wash over her. She began to open her bag to unpack.
But Wednesday quickly stopped her before exclaiming.

"What are you doing ?"

"Unpacking ?"

Wednesday looked at Jade with a shocked expression.

"I will do it for you. You are in no condition to do it"

Wednesday begin to unpacking Jade's stuff. Jade was so shocked that she couldn't stop her from touching her things. It was almost cute despite the fact that Wednesday treated her like an incapable child. She was speechless, she knew that was her way of being caring. So instead of interrupting her she left towards the other side of the room. Something caught her attention. It was a small box that looked like it had been knocked over. Jade looked down curiously and examined it. Inside were about ten handkerchiefs with various bloodstains on them. She realized that it was her used handkerchiefs. How did they get here ? "There is no way anyone is collecting such disgusting things" throught Jade.

"Wednesday there is something-"

She heard footsteps rushing behind her. Wednsday's feet are now in front of her eyes. As she stooped to the jade levels picking up the tissues before putting them back in the box in silence. Jade's eyes widened as she realized. Her cheeks were starting to warm up. Both stood up at the same time as Jade finally said

"You collect my bloody tissues ?" Wednesday hid the box behind her back

"No."

Jade looked over Wednesday's shoulder as if to find the box. But Wednesday stepped back with crimson red ears.

"Your ears betray you, they turn red when you lie to me" Say jade smiling about the situation. Jade stepped forward again and this time Wednesday didn't back down.
