Jade pov

I felt my eyes waking up slowly to the sound of a ringtone that wasn't mine. I touched randomly all that is worth in the bed. Ava's feet slapped my face violently waking me up for good. I sighed and stood up to pick up her phone.

Phone call

"Whoever it is. Please call at another time, it's not the right time."

"Jade! Thank God it's you. It's me. Ava's girlfriend"

"Marie?"

"No Sarah!"

"Sorry..."

"Listen to me Jade, she hasn't answered me at all for a week and-"

"Okay I don't think that's really none of my business-"

"But you have to help me, I love her!!"

"I'll talk to her and tell her to answer you."

"Thank you Jade you are the best!"

"No problem Cynthia"

"MY NAME IS SARAH-"

End of the phone call

I sighed and put her phone down on the bed. You see why I don't want to be in a relationship with her? She never told me about a Sarah and this one says she's her girlfriend. Ava is a good friend but a very bad girlfriend. I walked over to my several suitcases and picked out a random outfit. I really need a latte. I sent a message to Malcolm to warn him that I would be in the hotel lobby in about ten minutes.

I walked out of the room quietly, making sure I hadn't woken Ava. I sighed and slid pills onto my tongue and swallowed them with water. I heard the sound of a camera. I turned my head and saw two people with cameras in their hands pointing directly at me. I blinked several times, it must have been a very bad joke.

I sent an emergency message to Douglas the bodyguard on my floor to come back quickly. They continued to take pictures under my annoyed sighs. The worst part is that I don't deserve all this attention, I'm just the daughter of an influential woman. But they can't resist interfering in my private life whenever they get the chance.

"Jade is it true that you and Ava are in the same room?" I held up my finger telling him I wouldn't answer, tapping my phone with my other hand.

Douglas answered me quickly telling me that he apologized for not being attentive and that he was coming soon.

"Who are you texting? Your secret girlfriend ? You know the mysterious girl with two braids." I look up from my phone dumbfounded. I caught a mischievous smile from the man.

"Excuse me ?" Footsteps were heard behind me. But I was beginning to move dangerously towards him.

I felt someone grab my shoulder forcing me to stop inches from the man. Douglas took me by both shoulders with his arm and dragged me into the elevator.

"She won't answer your questions. My client does not wish to make any statement. Now get out, bloodthirsty bands of vultures." He said pressing the button to close the doors.
