The celebration of the carnival was over.
So as soon as Hinata's session was done Sasuke pulled her arm walking them to a spot out in the woods, that was just a mile outta the village.
She had the jitters.
He sat them both down on a log, making a fire pit.
And for a couple of mins which seemed like forever to her, he sat there quietly, looking into the fire.
All of a sudden Hinata became stressed & the feeling of fear washed over her like she was drowning.
Why did he bring her out here at this particular time of the night?
Was he planning on doing something...?
The painful memory of him being mean & aggressive with her was at the forefront of her head.
When he reached his arm out to touch her she activated her eyes & pointed both fingers at him.
"Hina-" she backed away from him, tho she looked scary he felt hesitation in her body.
She trembled and tears slipped from her eyelids. "Are you-are you tryna hurt me?" her lips quivered. Sasuke was unfazed by her horrendous action.
Slowly cupping her face moving closer to hers.
"I will never hurt you." he said in a whisper & just like that she was back to her normal self but she couldn't stop the tears from falling.
"Sasuke, why did you say those mean things to me?" She sobbed like a baby. "You scare me."
He loved the way she looked when she cried, her tears turned him on.But he hated himself for being the cause of her pain.
Not a sec later he began kissing her tears pulling her into his lap. Wrapping 1 arm around her lower back while the other patted her head.
Slowly beginning to rock.
She buried her head in his chest. "The reason I brought you out here is that I trust you, I trust you enough to let you know that this was just 1 of my safe spaces. That was before I met you..."
Why was he telling her this tho? She wondered what his true intentions were.

The next day was weird for Hinata because she felt unusual. These past couple of days left her in confusion all she thought abt was Sasuke but she pushed that to the back of her mind while getting ready for work.Cinnamon rolls filled her home with a delicious scent watering her mouth to have a bite.
She hummed lightly as she watered her plants while her food cooled off & soon after she enjoyed 3 pieces of them. Savoring in its taste & enjoying a cup of tea, after being done she grabbed her lunchbox and her container of water.
She put on her glasses & made her way out the door. "Sasuke?!" His presence spooked her and she clenched her chest to stop her exceeding heart rate.
She was panting. "Wha...What are you doing?"
"I'm gonna walk you to work." he said it so casually, grabbing her key to lock the door then pulling her close by the waist, walking her to the hospital.
But that doesn't mean she wasn't still stunned. "Were you.. just waiting on my porch?" Curious eyes gazed at him while slight irritation gazed back never answering either.
Once they made it to her job she thanked him with a tender kiss on his cheek.

Hinata's 1st day of work was fine, seeing how well the kids responded to her they had her working in the children's department. But she could've gone without the dirty looks women were giving all day.She was startled when she saw her father sitting at her dining table with both legs crossed enjoying a cup of tea.
"Father?!" Did ppl like almost giving her a heart attack?!? "What..." She had to catch her breath while holding her chest.
"You need to find a better place to hide your spare key." After she caught her breath she asked him what he was doing there. "Come sit dear." She did so.
"What's going on with you and Sasuke Uchiha?" This left her shocked that he would even ask such a thing.
"Nothing."
It wasn't like she was lying but, she really didn't know what was going on btwn the 2 of them.
He grimaced. Clearing his throat before speaking again. "You 2 are the topic in the village, it's so important that some people have brought it to my attention." She hated when he spoke seriously, that authoritative tone made her nervous.
"Nothing is going on between us."
After an hr of listening to her father abt why she shouldn't hang out with him & why he was bad news, she went to sleep confused which was a bad thing bc she still had feelings for him & at least now she knew why women were giving her nasty looks.
All of that was extremely childish , would other women really not like you over a man?
She would've understood if she was going around causing trouble but for it to be over Sasuke was quite upsetting.

The rest of the week Sasuke showed up at her porch every morning, she was used to it now & enjoyed him walking her to work. When it was Friday he walked her back home pretty much inviting himself in. "You're the first person to see my place officially, besides my sister and father." He scanned her home."It's... different."
It still had that same homely feeling that he missed but the aesthetic reminded him a lot of that guy and that wasn't good for him or her.
Aggravation was building up.
