Part 3: Family beginnings

Upon collecting all seven dragon balls Goku, Raditz and Gine stood before them waiting, neither of the two knew how these things worked so their only option was to wait for Goku to summon this eternal dragon. Goku then took a deep breath and spread his arms out, internally he was ecstatic about meeting his father and had to hold himself back.

"All mighty Shenron! I summon you to grant our wishes!" Goku shouted before the seven spheres glowed, with a giant burst of energy the dragon was formed from the pure golden energy. With a never-ending stare the dragon looked down at the three, with Raditz' jaw dropped at the sight of this giant creature.

"Oh great.... I'm just going to say this so it doesn't happen again.... Just so you're aware, because you asked for two things last time. I can revive someone and bring them to earth with just one wish, it's not that complicated and I know where to send things.... Now, state your wish!..." Shenron growled with Goku ushering his mother to the front, Gine grew nervous at the sight of the giant creature but she gathered her courage and spoke.

"Eternal dragon, I wish for my husband Bardock to be revived!" Gine exclaimed before Shenron raised an eyebrow, Goku never seeing Shenron act like this and not granting a wish made him concerned.

"....Are you sure that's a good idea saiyan?... Your husband has killed millions across the universe, I don't believe that would be a smart wish...." Shenron commented before Gine huffed and crossed her arms, glaring at the dragon with fire in her eyes.

"Just grant the wish dragon, I'll keep my husband in check! I'll kick his ass across the planet if I need to...." The mother said before Shenron's eyes glowed, the dragon grunted as the wish was finalized.

"Although I am greatly against this wish it is granted, farewell.... Unless your husband decides to destroy the planet for money, because if he does I hope one of you summons me just so I can say I TOLD YOU SO!" Shenron growled before he vanished in a golden light, the golden spheres flew up into the sky and shot off into different directions to recharge as Goku and his family waited.

Just then a flash of light blinded the three as a new figure emerged, Gine getting her vision back saw her husband alive with his armor almost completely destroyed. The sight of him made her heart jump, the saiyan before them looked around confused but before he could react someone jumped on him.

"BARDOCK!!!" Gine screamed out in joy as she tackled the rogue saiyan to the ground, the brothers getting their bearings looked on seeing their parents reunited. Goku was pleasantly surprised seeing his mother so happy, but it brought a smile to his face unlike his brother who was rolling his eyes at the scene.

Once Gine had calmed down Bardock got up and stared at his sons, Goku was surprised as he realized how similar he looked to his father but then again it wasn't important.

"Hey dad! It great to finally meet you!" Goku said as he walked up to his father, the older saiyan looked over as Gine hopped off his shoulder with Raditz looking concerned. Bardock glared at his son before a smirk spread across his face, crossing his arms he stroked his chin as the father looked at his son with pride.

"Well I'll say Kakarot, although you disappoint me by failing to complete your mission. You certainly have followed in your old man's footsteps and have gotten stronger, not that I'm able to see since I no longer have my scouter." Bardock chuckled before Raditz started laughing, Goku looked over and wondered what was so funny.

"Oh please.... Last time I scanned him Kakarot was a pathetic three hundred thirty four, while I'm at one thousand two hundred! Kakarot has nothing compared to me!" The older brother boasted, Goku rolled his eyes before Gine looked between the two and smacked both of their heads knocking them over.

"Stop arguing you two! Goodness you can't go a few minutes without fighting! I understand that we're saiyans, but leave the fighting to when you two are punching each other! No fighting unless it's physical! Then it's actually worth something!" Gine demanded with both her boys falling silent, Bardock seeing the once soft saiyan turn into a demanding savage confused him. He couldn't sense her power level, but what he could sense was the fire burning in her.

Looking over her shoulder Gine glared at her husband before turning around, the sudden glare was enough to make him jump as a sense of ominous energy was felt from her. She flew up to his face and looked down at him, seeing her act in such a way was alien to him since she never acted like this.

"And you! You better not get any ideas on how to sell this planet to Frieza buster! We lost Planet Vegeta and our home due to your recklessness, and I'm not going to lose this one too! We have a chance to get a new start and be a family again, so you better not fuck this up for me Bardock!" She growled as Bardock was in shock hearing her so angry, but he crossed his arms and returned the glare in full force.

"Do you really think I would go back to Frieza after the shit he pulled? I might like having fenzi in my pocket, but I'm not that desperate if it's risking myself or you getting blown up again...." Bardock scoffed, Gine crossed her arms as well before she smirked and kissed his cheek.

"Good to know we agree on not destroying the earthlings, now let's go home and get some better clothes on you! Plus your grandson this morning was really excited to meet you, too bad he had homework to do." Gine said, the four continued talking before heading home. Upon arrival Gohan was extremely excited to meet his grandfather, and with Raditz also there it was even better to him.

Eventually reaching night Bardock was sitting down with Gohan since the young boy wanted to learn more about his heritage, the older saiyan told the young boy about their origins and a few folk tales passed down through generations. But last came the legends, which was the most interesting.
