Part 15: Lies and Truths

Goku stood there surprised at the sudden grasp at his hand, with his android companion looking concerned. In her mind she would worry about what she was about to reveal, but it would hurt a lot more if Chi-Chi would be revived and Goku finally seeing what she had witnessed.

Proceeding to let go of the saiyan's hand the android turned and faced a nearby rock formation, her eyes glowed bright white as light shined onto the rock displaying an image. Goku then turned and went wide eyed seeing an older Gohan, but what shocked him the most was Gohan's appearance.

The teenage boy was scarred and pale, with his hair a mess and his eyes bagged. The boy was barely staying awake and was trembling as Chi-Chi walked into the room, she glared down at him before placing a plate down next to his current book.

"M-Mom.... I need to go out there.... Dad's dead and someone needs to stop the androids...." Gohan muttered to himself before his mother slammed her fist against the desk, causing the teenage Gohan to jump.

"You listen to me Gohan!! You aren't going anywhere until you learn everything!! You will get a get a job, earn millions of zeni, show Bulma that I am the better parent, and show your dumbass father that fighting is for brutes!!" Chi-Chi screamed into the boy's ear causing him to wince and silently start crying, Goku's heart dropped as Chi-Chi left the room with Gohan putting his hands over his eyes.

The saiyan's eyes narrowed and his teeth grit at the sight of metal cuffs clung onto the boys arms, was this what his wife was planning to do with his son?! He didn't know, but it upset him greatly that his own son was tormented like this. The recording went to static before cutting to Chi-Chi in the living room, smiling contently as she held a decent stack of zeni bills in her hand.

"Shame that Goku had to die, but I know that he had it coming. I mean if he knew what I was planning for Gohan and tried to fight back, I would have done it myself in all honesty! I grew up in a rich environment, so of course I want to remain rich!

Now if only I could get the zeni those worthless Briefs have, then I'd be the richest woman on the planet! I'd have all the power to do what I wanted-" Chi-Chi said before the recording cut off, news images then popped up.

"Briefs family murdered and safes emptied, president found strangled in bed and safe empty, Hercule proven not the strongest and robbed of value, Ox King dethroned with his daughter claiming the crown, boy found malnourished in his own room, chained to his desk with books scattered everywhere." Goku would read out before looking at the date, if this was his timeline it would have been years from now.

The recording stopped and Chondria looked over at Goku depressed, she saw the saiyan frozen with rage in his eyes almost similar to Broly's. He was vastly different than the one she had knowledge of, without another word the saiyan father powered up and took flight back home with Chondria trying to catch up.

Growling in anger as self-doubt filled his heart Goku just had to rush home to see his son again, practically busting through the door Goku rushed over to the confused Gohan and held the boy tightly. Arriving a few seconds after Chondria peeked through the doorway and smiled seeing the two, knowing someone else that would want to see this the android vanished leaving Goku alone with his son.

"I-.... I'm sorry Gohan...." After ten minutes of absolute silence Goku finally spoke with his son looking at him concerned, "I-.... I should have been a better dad and left you here at home, I shouldn't have put you in that situation...." Gohan after his father released him glared at his father, looking behind him at his room seeing the many books he had he sighed.

"Dad.... Please don't think about it too much.... I'm here and I'm fine, all I know is that I need to be stronger if that situation comes again...." Gohan said with Goku's eyes expressing a mix between disapproval and approval, however to make sure if Chi-Chi did come back he had to continue Gohan's education. Just not like he saw on Chondria's recording.

"Alright.... I guess I can accept that, but your mother would be upset if you didn't do your homework.... So how about after your done with your studies, we can go a few rounds behind the house? Maybe also play some of those games I see other parents doing? Sound good?" Goku said as in his mind he wanted Gohan to be happy, so doing everything possible could give them something to bond over.

Gohan had a huge smile on his face hearing his dad's plan, nodding in excitement the boy cheered before he noticed he was still in his torn clothes. Rushing to his room and changing outfits Gohan returned out and was ready, however much to their surprise a loud noise echoed outside.

"GOHAN!!!" Gine cried before busting the door down and hugging her grandson with all her might, tears streamed down her face as she whimpered and sobbed. Bardock entering the house saw the scene and duct back outside, not wanting to interrupt anything.

"Gra-ndma!! I-I was going to train with my dad!! C-an you let me go?!" Gohan struggled to get out with Gine shaking her head, Goku was about to agree to it too but her glare stopped him from speaking before she took the young boy to the couch.

"Just.... Let me spend some time with you.... Please.... I-I just feel so awful...." The older saiyan whimpered with Gohan quickly understanding, it was pretty late anyway and he could understand the impact. He knew he had died but didn't know what had happened, but if it was as bad as Gine was making it. He didn't mind being there for her for the rest of the day.

Back in the desert Future Gohan, 18 and Trunks were still arguing while everyone else had went home. Gohan had remained silent through most of it, as he wasn't the one with the problem. Trunks remaining paranoid about Gohan's choice in girlfriends tried to convince him to kill her, but much to Trunks' anger Gohan didn't listen.

"I don't care if she goes by her human name, she's still an android and probably is secretly working with Gero!! I don't want her to kill you again!! Granted you're from a different timeline, but you get my point!!" Trunks yelled with Gohan rubbing his forehead, Lazuli glaring at the boy scoffed and proceeded to get in his face and poke at his chest.
