Part 16: A father's awakening

Everyone looked down at the majin surprised, but yet each saiyan there shook their heads telling the majin that no one knew. The ten year old frowned at the realization before closing her eyes, it deeply upset her that she didn't have a reason to be prideful like her father. Goku feeling pity for the young girl got on his knee, holding her shoulder and tilting her head up he smiled.

"Maybe there isn't a way to turn super saiyan, but all I know is that both you and my son have the potential! All you need to do right now is to get stronger then we'll worry about it later, how about I train the both of you like how Master Roshi taught me?" Goku said with a confident smile, while trying to forget Roshi's inappropriate comments. Gohan would smile at the opportunity but Maria seemed nervous, if her father would see her near his rival she'd be deemed a failure most likely.

Seeing her reaction Goku ruffled her hair trying to get her to lighten up, having tried his best at being a father for the past five years he had gotten a hold of it. In addition, with his cheerful personality on full display Maria could not help but giggle as her hair was messed with.

"Ok Mr. Kakarot, I guess that's fine. I just hope my dad doesn't get upset with this...." The majin said with Goku chuckling, but only then did he have an idea and turned to Chondria who was approaching having just finished her talk with Mr. Briefs.

"Hey Chondria! Maybe you could join us?! It'll be fun! Plus we could finally train together!" The android looked over to her saiyan friend and processed the opportunity, it would lead her to get stronger and that kill command was out of her system....

Figuring that she could at least be there for a few hours the android nodded her head, Goku then announced his departure and left with the other three following. However, they weren't the only ones flying as Broly approached Goku's house, following his mother's energy he landed at the door and proceeded to knock.

Not sensing Kakarot inside he was rather calm, and with his mother inside, he would be "punished" for causing an issue. Footsteps quickly approached before Gine opened the door, seeing the legendary super saiyan himself standing there sent a small chill down her spine. But due to his calm expression it quickly passed.

"Hello Broly, what brings you here? Kakarot's at Capsule Corp at the moment, and I doubt Raditz or my husband want to fight you?" The older saiyan would say as the tall saiyan entered the house, quickly just as he entered the building Colli shot up and squeezed her son screaming.

"Baby!! What are you doing here?! Were you worried about your mommy?!" The taller saiyan shouted with Broly groaning, a light blush spread across his face as he hated his mother's baby talk.... She wouldn't even call him by his name unless he was in "trouble," however he was at least happy that he had his mother....

"No mother it's not that.... I had a.... question for your friend...." Broly groaned before Colli released him and kissed his forehead; being thankful that Kakarot or Vegeta weren't there the saiyan legend glanced over at the small woman.

Gine was shocked though that out of anyone, the saiyan of legend himself had a question for her?! The most powerful saiyan in history had something to ask of her. Pointing to herself stunned Broly nodded and turned to her completely, his expression a mix between seriousness and anger.

"Since you are the only saiyan that I am aware of that has achieved the ascension, I need to know how you achieved it! I have tried everything with my daughter, but I failed each time and I refuse to have her without it!" Broly growled with his mother glaring at him, not even letting Gine say a word Colli crossed her arms.

"Some nerve you have Broly, going to your rival's mother instead of your own! I've achieved super saiyan as well, far before you were born in fact! I couldn't save the planet because for one I was killed by the queen the same day you were born, but even if I didn't get murdered I was still recovering from your birth." Colli said with Gine and Broly looking at her wide-eyed, even Bardock leaned in and glared at her in annoyance.

"You mean to tell me, you could have killed Frieza and saved the planet?!" The man yelled before Colli side-eyed the saiyan warrior, much like her son Colli's stare was terrifying to him. But even Gine was scarred, but more about Colli's temperament than anything else.

"If your saying I should have sacrificed my baby boy just to save your sorry ass, then I might as well slaughter you for SUGGESTING SUCH A THING!! I'D RATHER SUFFER ONE MILLION DEATHS IF IT MEANS SAVING MY BABY!!" Colli said before screaming the rest shattering many glass objects and making Bardock cower in fear, it was clear to Gine that her friend hadn't changed even after death.

"Anyway.... I know how to turn super saiyan, but it is different for others as Gine had told me...." Colli continued prior to calming down, taking the two outside and getting a good distance away the tall woman glared at the two. The two watched Colli as she began powering up with green flames enveloping her, screaming out Colli emerged with her hair and eyes the same as her son's.

Broly appeared unimpressed but internally he was strangely excited, finally he found a worthy opponent to fight against! But unlike his past idea he didn't want to kill his mother, he was sick and twisted but not to that degree!

"This isn't guaranteed, but from what Gine had told me it confirms my theory.... Super saiyan does not come from rage like you might think, it's a result of acceptance during a stressful situation. Mine was during combat with one of Planet Kukora's guardians, your father was down and I was at my limit.... I didn't want to admit it at the time, but I was in great love with him....

My first husband had been killed in combat, and due to my short relationship with King Vegeta, I did not want another relationship to die.... The moment I accepted my love for your father I felt invigorated not realizing my ascension, I was just blinded by my desire to save him." Colli explained with Broly raising an eyebrow, he was so confused while to Gine it made sense.

However, both were stunned that Colli was in a relationship with the KING!! It didn't make sense to Gine especially since she had met King Vegeta before, and Colli wasn't his type. Realizing their confused expressions Colli put her hands up and sighed.
