Chapter 41

That evening Addison insisted on watching a movie with Gwil. She was sitting on his lap, her back resting against his chest. Gwil had his arms wrapped loosely around her. Whenever he looked down, a big smile spread on his face. At the end of the movie, Addison maneuvered herself so she was facing Gwil. The latter smiled at her.
"Who loves you?" Gwil asked. Addison's eyes widened.
"You do," She said. Gwil nodded.
"I do. I love you very much." 
"I love you too."

Joe was sitting in the armchair. He smiled lovingly at them. 
"Addison?" Joe asked. Addison turned her head to look at him.
"Come here for a second," Joe said before he waved her over. Addison hopped off Gwil's lap. She made her way over to Joe. The latter leaned in so he could whisper in Addison's ear.
"Can you go to Benny and tell him that you need to get your onesies on? Wait in the office, I'll be there in a second, okay?" Joe whispered. Addison nodded excitedly. She immediately left to do as told. Gwil raised his eyebrows at Joe.
"You'll see in a second," Joe said before making his way over to Gwil. He sat down next to his husband. Softly, he brushed his hand over Gwil's cheek.
"I am so glad that you are home again. I really missed having you here," Joe said.
"I missed being home too."

After a few minutes, Joe got up.
"I am going to see what is taking Addison so long," Joe said. He immediately walked over to the office. Ben was wearing his monkey onesie. They had bought Addison a onesie as well. They let her pick which one she wanted to be. She badly wanted a Yoshi onesie. Joe's Winnie the Pooh onesie was waiting for him. Joe quickly changed into the onesie. Ben was already holding Gwil's onesie and gave Addison the other present they had for Gwil. Together they walked back into the living room. Gwil laughed loudly at the sight. 
"You guys," Gwil said. 

Addison walked over to Gwil with the bag in her hand. She handed it to Gwil. 
"Is this for me?" Gwil asked. Addison nodded enthusiastically. 
"Open it," She said. Gwil chuckled while he opened the bag. He got out a pink shirt that was an exact replica of Addison's princess shirt. Gwil looked at it for a good five seconds before he burst out in laughter. Tears were forming in his eyes while he tried to control himself.
"I love it," Gwil said. He was still laughing while he gave Addison a hug.

Gwil quickly traded his own shirt for the Princess shirt before he changed into the onesie, leaving the front open so the shirt was visible. 
"Does that mean we are going to have a movie night?" Gwil asked. 
"Yes," Addison said while jumping up and down.
"I'd say, we have to get some snacks, don't we?" Gwil asked. Addison nodded eagerly. 

Within a few minutes, Ben returned with an entire tray full of snacks and drinks. Joe and Addison had picked a movie while Gwil sat back and enjoyed the situation. Addison curled up at Gwil's side while the movie started. Gwil's lip quivered slightly while he looked down at her. He immediately put his arm around her. He felt a hand rub over his leg. When he looked to his side he saw that the hand belonged to Joe. The latter shot him a wink before turning to look at the television again. 

When the first movie ended, Addison begged them to watch another movie. 
"Can I get more water?" Addison asked. Gwil slowly stood up. Ben was already on his way, but Gwil stopped him.
"Let me do it," Gwils said. He tried his very best to focus on getting Addison water as opposed to thinking about walking. So far, it seemed to be working. He filled her glass before slowly making his way back.
"Thank you," Addison said as soon as Gwil set the glass down. 

Gwil was the one to bring Addison to bed. Addison really wanted to stay up, but it was already way past her bedtime. While Addison changed into her pajamas, Gwil chose one of her books. He opened it to a random story while he settled down next to Addison on the bed and started to read it to her. Addison read along and laughed at the funny parts. Gwil simply smiled at her while he continued. He shut the book as soon as the story was finished. Addison was looking up at him.
"Thank you so much for the present. I am really happy I can finally wear my princess shirt." Addison giggled loudly.
"You look fabulous," She said. Gwil couldn't help but grin.
"I love you," Gwil said.
"I love you too dad," Addison said. Gwil brushed some hairs out of her face before he placed a kiss on her forehead.
"Sweet dreams."

Ben and Joe were waiting for him in the living room.
"Do you want to watch another movie?" Joe offered. Gwil nodded while he sat down next to Ben. They quickly chose a movie before settling down. Gwil leaned into Ben's embrace, enjoying being close to his husbands. Ben was rubbing his hand over Gwil's arm in a soothing manner. Soon Gwil felt his eyes growing heavier and before he realized it, he fell asleep. Ben continued his actions while he held Gwil close.

At the end of the movie, Ben tried to maneuver himself so he could lift Gwil off the couch. As careful as he could, he carried Gwil to the bedroom bridal style. It wasn't until Gwil touched the mattress that he woke up.
"Sorry, love. I tried to be as careful as I could," Ben said. Gwil frowned while he looked around. 
"Do you want to brush your teeth?" Ben asked. Gwil nodded. Slowly he sat up before making his way over to the bathroom. Ben could see that Gwil wasn't fully awake yet.

Not even ten minutes later, they were laying in bed again. Ben and Joe were curled up in his arms.
"Tomorrow I have to leave again," Gwil mumbled. 
"Hey, sweetheart. It'll only be for a few days. I know it's tough and it might feel longer than a few days, but Friday you'll be home again," Joe said. Gwil nodded slowly.
"I love you two."
"And we love you too."
