"You can go home tonight Lea." Aga told her as he was driving the two of them.
"What do you mean?" She asked a little puzzled.
"I mean, you can stay in your house tonight. You missed Aj na diba?" Kalmado pa ding sagot nito and it's driving her insane.
"I-" hindi na niya natuloy ang sasabihin when Aga's cellphone rang.
She didn't mean to peek but she already saw who the caller was.. and she felt a stab on her chest.
Now she understands why he wanted her to go home.
He's meeting with Mikee.
Aga looked at his phone but didn't answer it.
"You can take the call you know, don't mind me." She said and smiled at him.
"Iniisip mo bang ayaw kong sagutin ang tawag because of you?" He asked at natahimik naman siya.
A long moment had passed but none of them speaks, when they reached her house ay hindi kaagad siya bumaba.
"Go on Lei." Aga commanded her, at sa nanginginig na kamay ay binuksan niya ang pinto ng sasakyan.
She's literally at the verge of crying now..
"I never answer calls whenever I'm driving Lea." He said just before she went outside the car, nilingon niya si Aga and smiled at him despite her heart breaking.
"You don't have to tell me that, Aga. I really shouldn't meddle in your personal life. Sino ba naman ako diba?" She said at tinalikuran na ito.
She heard the door of the car opening and closing and steps following her.
"Lea!" Tawag ni Aga and she stopped on her tracks.
"Lea, look at me." Utos nito kaya dali-dali naman niyang pinahid ang luha sa mata bago lingunin ito.
"What?" She asked.
"Let's take some time off. Wag muna tayong magkita." He said at naiyak na naman siya.
"Is it because of her?" She asked, not addressing the name of that woman.
"Sawa ka na ba sa akin Aga? Ayaw mo na? Ganyan ka na ba ngayon? Your girlfriend is miles away, so you settled for me, at ngayon bumalik yung great love mo, you'll set me aside?" Hindi na niya napigalang sumbat dito.
She never intended to voice it all out but she felt like a trash.
"It's not that Lea." He started but didn't continue.
"Kung hindi ano? Why are you pushing me away?! Sabihin mo na lang kasi kung sawa ka na sa katawan ko! I'll understand naman..just please tell me! Para alam ko kung saan ako lulugar diyan sa buhay mo! You knew I needed the money, so you take advantage of it! Parang dati lang diba? Alam mong mahal na mahal kita kaya ginantihan mo ako sa paraang alam na alam mong ikakasira ko."
"You knew, Aga. Alam mong mahal kita pero bakit hindi ka dumating nung kasal natin? Alam kong mali na nagpanggap akong buntis just to get you, but do you really need to hurt me that way? Tinanong naman kita diba? Tinanong kita kung dadating ka, you should have answered No! para hindi na ako umasa... Pero hindi, you left me hanging Ags, kaya naghintay ako! And what? You had the audacity of ending things in just a three word letter? Putang*na Aga!"
"Anong sulat Lea?" Nagtatakang tanong naman nito.
Lea laughed bitterly at that.
"And now you're acting as if you don't know? Someone gave me a letter from you saying you are sorry, it came with this." She said and took something from her bag.
It was the necklace.
"How--?"
"This came from you diba?" She asked hoping against hope na tatanggi si Aga, that maybe everything was just a misunderstanding.
"Yes, it came from me, ipinagawa ko yan para sa'yo, but I don't know how you receive them Lea." Tila nalilito pa ding paliwanag nito.
Lea's getting confused as well and she needed to think.
"Umalis ka na Aga." Pagtataboy niya dito.
"No Lea. We need to get this sorted out now, bago pa ako mawala sa katinuan. What exactly did the letter say? Dahil wala akong natatandaan na binigyan kita ng sulat ng araw na yun."
Lea opened the box of the necklace again and underneath the cusion she took the letter and gave it to Aga.
"I didn't write this." He said.
"You don't have to lie Aga. You've written me enough letters through the years for me not to recognized your penmanship." Sagot naman niya.
"It didn't came from me Lea, sa maniwala ka man o sa hindi, and if you really knew me well, sana sa umpisa pa lang alam mo na, na hindi ako ang nagsulat nito." He said sarcastically.
"Because if you paid enough attention, I never addressed you "Lea" in all my letters, let alone signed it as "Aga." He added and that's when it dawned to her.
"I always addressed you as "My Sandy" after our movie and changed it to "Babes" after SMM diba? And I always signed the letter "Morning" that never change Lei, because you are the first person who called me that." Aga lenghtily explained and she realized that he is right, but who could've done this to them?
Lea was about to voice out her opinion when her cellphone rings.
It's her mother. She hurriedly answered the phone not minding Aga is just nearby.
"Mommy? Napatawag po kayo? Is Aj alright?" She asked in worry.
"Lea, we brought Aj to the hospital. He had seizures earlier." Her mother said on the other line.
"What? Saang ospital?" She immediately went to her car she left her car there when she moved-in with Aga.
When her mother told her where it is ay agad niyang pinutol ang tawag.
Nilingon niya si Aga who is now standing behind her.
"Aga? Do you want to come with me?" She said but Aga shook his head.
"No. I'll just see you next week Lea, napaka walang puso ko naman kung kukunin ko pa ang oras mo para kay Aj." He sadly told her while holding both of her cheeks in his hands.
She's about to tell him that Aj is their son ngunit nagsalita na naman iyo.
"Know what? Forget it Lea, I won't take the money back but I'm setting you free. Ipapadala ko na lang dito yung mga gamit mo. Let's call the deal off." He said at napa luha naman siya.
"You know, I sometimes wonder, what if hindi ako nag inom nung gabing yun? What if, hindi ako na late sa kasal natin? What if inabutan kita? Will our situation be different now?" He asked as he too have tears in his eyes.
"Did-did you really?" She asked feeling puzzled. She heard the story during the interview with Sharon but she actually thought that he was lying.
"Yes, I came Lea, because despite of yor lies back then, I realized that my love for you is bigger than your deceit, had we not started on the wrong foot, I would've pursued you Lea. I would have made you mine." He emotionally said at wala na siyang maisagot dito, tanging iyak na lang ang lumalabas sa kanya.
"Go now Lea. Aj needs you." He said and kissed her forehead. Upon hearing Aj's name ay kaagad siyang bumitaw kay Aga.
He was right. Aj needs her.
"Hindi pa tayo tapos mag usap Ags." She said, before riding her car.
She can't tell him now as they are still both emotional.
On the other hand, Aga felt so hurt that Lea really chose another guy over him.
"I guess, I'll just see you around. Goodbye Lea." He said as he watch Lea drive away.
