The following morning I wake up feeling fresh with a clear head. I grab my laptop and purse from my bag and settle on the couch for the morning. I won't dwell on what happened last night - yes Chris said he liked me but nothing was set in stone.

I turn my phone on and ignore the text messages from Chris for now. I call Emma and after a few rings she answers.

"Hey Em!"

"Shannon! Are you ok i've been so worried! Chris texted that you disappeared from the premier last night and your phones been turned off since then!" She bawled down the phone.

"Yeah i'm good, I wasn't feeling well and came home". Emma hums back in response.

"Anyway, pack a bag. We're going to Ayia Napa for a week as a belated birthday present. I've got some work to do out there. We leave in an hour" I wander around throwing thing's in a suitcase as we talk outfits and plan for the week ahead. I hear a beeping in my ear and look at the incoming called ID - It was Chris. "Em, Chris is calling. I'll come and collect you in an hour, bye" I end the call and sigh as I answer the next.

"Hello..."

"Shannon!! I've been worried sick about you, are you ok?" Chris questions.

"Yeah, I wasn't feeling well last night. Listen I gotta go i'm heading to the airport, i'm working away this week and won't be able to see you before the press tour is done but good luck and safe travels"

I end the call before he has the chance to say anything, I biting my lip to stop myself crying. I take a minute to calm myself down before throwing a bunch of bikinis and summer wear into my suitcase. 20 minutes later I leave my apartment and drive across town to collect Emma who's stood outside her apartment waiting for me. She throws her suitcase into the back seat and climbs in as we make our way to Heathrow.

We check in and get through security finding the nearest restaurant to grab some food before our flight. Halfway into the flight I bring myself to look at the messages from Chris.

I sigh resting my head on the window panel looking out to the clouds, thing's would never work out with us due to the long distance. We could hardly have a conversation through text because the time difference, everything happens for a reason I guess.

A couple of days had passed and we were lounging around the pool, thankfully neither of us were beachy people and happy to lounge around the hotel. I lay reading my book as Emma took a nap on the lounger next to me. All my work had been done at the start of the week and for the last couple of days I was having a social media detox which was well needed.

The paparazzi were following us every step we took, this was supposed to be a relaxing week but my anxiety was peeking new levels. We decided to go to a little restaurant on the strip for lunch, the sun was burning our already sunkissed skin and our hair was damp from the pool. I was definitely a warm climate kind of girl and thrived like most or the population when on holiday. We order a couple of Sex On The Beach Cocktail as we wait for our lunch, Emma checks her phone looking up at me then back at her phone. I laugh in confusion as I take a sip of my cocktail, it's 5pm somewhere.

Shortly after our lunch comes and Emma takes a drink clearing her throat before she drops the bomb shell.

"Shan, Chris has been texting me... he wants to come here to see you before he goes back home. He's in Europe just now as part of the press tour. I wanted to ask you first before answering the text...". I look up at her and my heart drops, I shake my head as I finish the mouthful of food. "Don't reply back, I don't want him to come here.". Emma nods back and gives me a sympathetic smile, "trouble in paradise?". I hum back in response "something like that".
