My hands tremble as I stand waiting to walk down the aisle with my cousin arm in arm, he takes my hand giving me a reassuring smile. I look down at my beautiful white lace figure hugging dress with a sweetheart bodist and lace covering my chest all the way down to my arms. I kept everything pretty simple for today, naturalish make up and a curl in my hair. Attached to the Stately home was beautiful gardens and a greenhouse where we'd move into after the ceremony. The wedding planner smoothens out my long train and gives me a nod to tell me it's time.
I take a deep breath as we exit the grand door leading into the gardens, the same flowers as my bouquet scattered along the walk way, down the stairs and aisle leading me to Chris who stood with his back to me. Taylor Swifts Wildest Dreams Violin version played as I walked down the aisle, Scott placed his hand on Chris back indicating he could turn around now. As soon as he turned around tears streamed down his face, I swallow the lump in my throat trying not to cry myself but it was no use, the tears were streaming down my face. As we approach Chris, my cousin shakes his hand and then takes mine placing it into Chris'. He looked so handsome - his hair was freshly trimmed along with his beard, he wore a black tuxedo and his all too familiar aftershave. During the whole ceremony it was like we were the only people there, I had tunnel vision and all I could see was the man stood in front of me -nobody else mattered.
We say our vows and our I do's before placing the rings on each others fingers and being pronounced husband and wife sealing the deal with a loving kiss. As we wander down the aisle hand in hand flowers were thrown over us by the guest and we grin ear to ear. After going away for an hour for photographs it was time for lunch, we enter the greenhouse which had all white circular guest tables and a head table for us and family. I couldn't get over how beautiful it was inside, after lunch we had our first dance and then the music and drinks flowed late into the evening.
I was mingling with guests as Chris comes and whispers in my ear he'll be back in a minute kissing my head, I take no notice and go back to talking to the guest. Unbeknownst to me, Chris was outside talking to Charlotte who was trying to gate crash our wedding but Chris caught a glimpse of her before she entered the reception area.
"What are you doing here Charlotte" Chris asks furious that she'd pull something like this.
"Chris, I need to talk to you and tell you something...".
Chris stands waiting and shugs his shoulders. "Anything you want to say to me means nothing and this is a new low for you crashing my wedding day, you can see yourself out" as he begins to walk away he freezes in the spot as Charlotte confesses. "Chris, you're the father to my son!". He turns around looking at Charlotte who's child would now nearly be two, the dates work out from his quick maths. Chris stands in disbelief not saying a word. "What did you just say" a familiar voice asks from behind Chris, he drops his head as he turns around to be faced with his new wife stood with tears in her eyes.
