"So, Maya's not upset she has to skip out on Coachella?" Hayden asked me as we sat at her softball game.

I nod my head while I looked over at him. "I mean, she's bummed but she's trying to get on a team before she graduates." I explain.

"You think he's going to be there?" Hayden asked about Colby. I sigh while thinking about it.

In the past two years, I haven't really heard anything of him. Back in January of twenty-nineteen when he got arrested, we both shut each other out.

I was going to text him, tell him what happened and why I had to fly home on the same day, but he had already texted me.

He told me that he needed some space to clear his mind. I understand why he said that.

He had gotten arrested, and two days before that, he almost died and didn't tell me anything about it.

I saw it on one of their youtube videos. I still watch their stuff from time to time. I do miss hanging out with everyone.

I still hang out with Devyn, Xepher, and Kat. I just don't really talk to the boys anymore.

I'm just happy that I have Hayden. Hayden was my best friend that I reconnected with in the winter of twenty-eighteen.

When I came back home in January, he was there for me when everything happened to my mom.

When I eventually moved back to Los Angeles, he moved out here with me to work on his music career.

He even helped encourage me to start making covers. The both of us have posted a couple duets on my account.

He's gained a following, he's about to hit a hundred thousand on Instagram.

I have gotten some hate throughout the years. Since I don't hang out with the boys, especially Colby, they say I used him for followers.

I've gained two and a half million subscribers since we stopped talking.

I made my own makeup kit and everyone seemed to love it.

One cover that Hayden and I did blow up. He got me obsessed with an artist named Eden.

He makes alternative music and it's really good. He did a cover to Beyonce's crazy in love that we both love so we covered it.

We made sure to credit both him and Beyonce when we filmed it, and it blew up. It got two million views in the first twenty four hours.

Fans have assumed that we're dating, when that's not the case. We're just really good friends.

It's honestly been a crazy two years since I've stopped talking to Colby.

I shake my head while I look over at him. "Coachella's so big, I doubt we would even run into him." I answer.

Hayden knows all about the Colby drama. About how we met, got super close, admitted our feelings, and then shut each other out.

I don't have any bad feelings or hatred towards Colby. I honestly miss him. I just know I can't do anything about it now cause it's been too long.

Hayden doesn't really like Colby, he thinks he's a douche even though he's never met him.

Hayden and I got Coachella tickets once they were on sale so I couldn't wait.

It's two weeks away so we're starting to prepare. We have our AirBnB ready and prepped up for us.

We just have to plan our outfits for it. Maya wanted to come along with us, but she couldn't because of her softball games at the same time.

She's still with Owen, he's sitting in the student section currently. I was happy that they still have each other.

Maya took the passing of our mother hard. It was rough for both of us.

When we got to New Hampshire, my dad explained to us what happened. He told us how he woke up to her having a seizure.

He drove her to the hospital and after long hours of testing and waiting, they found a tumor growing on her brain, rapidly.

She didn't have much time, which is why he called me and told me to fly out there.

Maya and I got some alone time to talk to her. I'll admit that I sobbed, and I'll never forget her last words to me.

She told me how she doesn't ever regret adopting me, and that she's always going to be proud of me.

She made me promise that I wouldn't put my life on pause because of her, and to live my life everyday.

She ended up passing the next day, which broke my heart. I beat myself up that I spent the last few months of her life so far away.

But then, I started thinking about how grateful I was that I got to have her as a mom.

She didn't have to adopt me, but she did. I'm blessed that I got twenty years with her, even though it was too short.

Hayden really did help with every part of it. He was pretty shook up too knowing he grew up around my mom too since he lived next door.

My mom treated him like he was her own. I did a whole youtube video about her on her one year of her passing.

It was nice to reflect on her life and how she affected all her friends and family.

Her passing made me appreciate life a little bit more. "I just know Kendrick Lamar better be fucking amazing."

I laugh a little while I shake my head. It was Maya's turn to bat so she got prepared. She hit the ball, dropped the bat, and started running.

She made it to first safely which made me start cheering. The game ended, they ended up winning their last game with Arizona State.

Nine to Zero. We waited for them to get done so she could come over to us. I started smiling towards her as she walked over.

"Nice game, hot shot." Hayden complimented. She smiled and blushed a little bit.

"We were thinking of celebrating and going out to eat, wherever you like." I tell her.

Ever since our mother died, it made us a lot closer. She thought about it for a second.

"Outback sounds really good honestly." She spoke up. I'll have to agree.

"Okay, we'll meet you there." We smile towards her. She was going to ride with Owen while Hayden drove us two.

We walk to our cars and climb inside. Hayden and I listen to music on the way to the Outback with the windows down.

Since it was mid march, it was starting to get warm outside, which I love.

I always loved the warm weather and the heat. It takes us twenty minutes to get there.

Owen and Maya were still on the way so we told them we'll get a table. They asked us how many people and a name for us.

"Ren Elliot." I tell the hostess. She glances up at me again, a sudden look of realization. I get this often now.

"I thought that was you. I love your videos by the way." She complimented me as I thanked her.

She typed out my name and told us it would be a fifteen minute wait.

Maya and Owen came ten minutes later and we eventually got our table. It was really nice to hang out with them.

We talked about her games this weekend and what could happen at Coachella.

Owen said he was going to stay at the townhouse with Maya so she wouldn't be alone.

The food was really good and it was nice spending time with the three. Hayden eventually dropped me back off at the house.

He had to get ready for work. Since he's not signed or anything just yet, he's been working at a bar.

He get's really good tips so it helps him with the bills. I told him he could live with us, but he said it was okay.

He lives five minutes away from us so it's not that far of a drive. Maya went upstairs to shower and do school work while I went to my room to edit.

It's honestly been a good and productive day.
