COLBY

I crack open another White Claw as I lay out by the pool. Sam, Kat, and our new friend, Stas were in the pool.

I sat in the lawn chair, soaking up the warm sun, trying to tan my skin. So much has changed since I got arrested.

I almost died in an underground tunnel, Sam and I stopped doing explorations for legal reasons and started doing paranormal stuff.

We moved out of the original traphouse and lived separately for a year. We then moved into another house, but Corey and Jake moved out again.

Now Sam and I live in the house, but Stas and Kat are over all the time.

Back when Sam and I were arrested, I was so caught up in my head, I stopped talking to Ren.

I had shut her out because of how low my mental state was. Overnight in prison was not fun.

I haven't really heard much from Ren in the past couple of years, which makes total sense.

If she had shut me out when I didn't do anything to her, I would be upset too.

I've read up that she's now seeing some random guy named Hayden. I've seen the pictures of them walking around together.

She's posted a lot of Instagram pictures of them together and some youtube videos.

I'm happy that she was finally posting covers and putting herself out there.

I honestly really do miss her a lot. I feel like we always had a connection, but we lost it along the way.

I know Kat still talks to her, but I have no idea if Sam does. It was weird at first not having her around.

When we had our going away party at the trap house two years ago, I kept looking around for her, but she wasn't there.

I spent a lot of the party on the roof, drinking by myself. I miss her laughter, a lot.

"Are you okay?" I hear Stas's voice as she walks to grab another White Claw.

I nod my head while I looked at her. Stas and I were a fling for a while, but I ended it because she just wasn't Ren.

"Yeah, just hanging out." I tell her while bringing the can to my lips. She cracks a can open and frowns.

"You're thinking about her, aren't you?" I stay silent, I hate it when she's right.

I always feel bad about leading her on, but my heart just wasn't in it.

"Yeah, I am." I frowned a little bit. She sighs while she sits on the lawn chair next to me.

I know what she's going to say. "You should try to message her." I knew she was going to say that.

"I would, but I shut her out in a time she needed me the most because I was selfish." I tell her.

I had to look away from her. "It doesn't matter anyway, she's already moved on." I mumble to myself.

She doesn't say anything. I could hear her move while I continued to lay there and soaked up the sun.

At least I have Coachella to look forward to.

REN

"Are you excited for Coachella?" Devyn asked me. I nodded my head and smiled a little bit.

"Yeah, I know Hayden's really excited since it's his first big music festival." I tell her.

Even though I fell off with most of everyone from the trap house, I'm happy I still talk to the girls.
