Despite the fact that it is a public holiday, Bob's offices are open today and surprisingly, the number of attendants can put a smile on any manager or owner of the company. Though most employees make it to work, there is quite a difference in the task rhythm. There ain't many calls to pick and there's barely a file to touch by the accounts office.

One of the accountants is seating in his chair with a relentless stare at the communication department through the glass in front of his desk. At the same time, a pen rotates with the help of his fingers on the left arm that is bent with the elbow jostled on the arm of the chair. His right hand meanwhile has the computer mouse under its touch on the desk. His mind is far from where he settles in idleness.

Gently, he rests the writing tool and shifts his other hand off the mouse. He reaches for his phone from his pocket and unlocks it prior to tapping on the contacts app first. He searches for the secretary's name and opts to text her.

To Miss Mary: Hey, I haven't seen you
                           at work today. I hope
                           you're good.

He sends. He blacks the screen and he's about to pocket the device when a message pops. He frowns before unlocking the screen.

Miss Mary: Actually, I've just left office.
                      I'm kinder dizzy. I'd a
                     weekend.

Koke is yet to reply when his weekend visitor sends in another text.

Miss Mary: You want to tell me
                      something?

The accountant rubs his fingers around his mouth and chin.

To Miss Mary: Not really. I just wanted
                           to check on you.

The grip on his gadget tightens after he sends the message. He keeps a sharp look on the gadget's screen, the light from it dimming seconds into his stare. He looks away from the phone and scans the outside of his cubicle through the transparent glass barrier. The device vibrates with another text.

Miss Mary: Aw. Wow. Anyway....
                     Thanks.

With that, Koke deliberately blacks the gadget's screen and places it on the desk. He looks over to the other end of the floor outside his workspace. The colleagues are moving to and fro with some concentrating on the computers in front of them. His index finger and thumb meanwhile caress his chin as he studies.

Buzz

He closes his eyes and opens them with a puff before retrieving the phone and unlocking it.

Miss Mary: I know you're lying. So,
tell me the truth. I know
                     you wouldn't just check
                    on me for no reason.

The lad looks away from his phone. He decides to ignore the text. He rests the device on the desk and switches on the monitor, seemingly setting himself for seriousness.

Once more, another vibration sets from the mobile phone, prompting him to bury his forehead into the palm of his left hand.

Miss Mary: And if you don't, find me at
                      your door.

The accountant sighs with a calm closure of his eyes. He now holds the phone in both hands in a text-back anticipation.

To Miss Mary: Alright. Fine. See you
                           there at three o'clock.
