Wednesday snuggled into her blanket. She froze when she heard an "unph" and then remembered where she slept the night before. Xavier lay peacefully sleeping, his grip on her was loose but firm enough to keep her there. Wednesday realized their legs were tangled together as she became more aware of her senses.

Xavier started to move, with his eyes still closed he mumbled, "Are you staring at me?" Before squinting and opening one eye with a cocky smirk. Wednesday didn't respond, she just laid her head back onto his chest. She felt Xavier rest his chin on her head before grumbling, "We should get up. You need to get back to your dorm."

"Relax it's 5:30 in the morning. Enid's probably still snoring." Wednesday told him, trying to ignore the raspiness of his voice. "Hm...does that mean you want to stay longer?" Xavier asked. Wednesday suddenly felt uncomfortable, as if the walls were closing in and Xavier's arms were clutching her in a death grip.

She had felt this feeling before. When she felt suffocated. She didn't know why, but she went from fully able to receive his affection to completely repelling it. She wished it would just go away and allow her to be loved, but being loved is work and it was something she wasn't accustomed to.

"No...I think I'll go back and act as if I slept there the whole night." Wednesday rushed and got out of bed. Xavier supported himself on one arm as he watched her scramble for her socks which had gone missing under the covers. "Alright..." sighed Xavier. She could see the disappointment on his face, but she had to get out.

"I'll see you later." Wednesday said turning towards him. "'Kay...Love you." Xavier told her as a goodbye, Wednesday nodded and made her way to the window and unlatching it before making her way across the roof.

"I know you didn't sleep here last night."

Wednesday's eyes shot open and she sat up abruptly. Her head collided with Enid's, who was hovering over her. Both girls winced and rubbed at the spot where they collided.

"Enid what we're you doing?" Wednesday asked uncomfortably. "Well, I was trying to do the thing that you do and look intimidating. It backfired." She grumbled. "But anyway, you didn't sleep here last night." Enid glared at her.

"No I did not." Wednesday admitted. Enid looked hurt,"Why not?" She questioned. "That is strictly my business." Wednesday told her, turning away and getting out of bed. "Why Wednesday?" Enid persisted. "I told you, it's my own business." Wednesday countered walking towards her closet.

"I know you slept over at Xavier's." Enid informed her, hovering behind her as she took out her uniform. "Obviously." Wednesday scoffed. "Why?" Enid asked.

"No Enid."
"Why? Tell me?"
"No."
"Please?"
"No."
"Wednesday I'm your best friend. Tell me."
"No."
"Wednesday-"

"I'm having nightmares." Wednesday admitted, glaring into Enid's eyes. She snatched away her uniform and walked into the washroom to get changed. "Wednesday I-" Enid started but Wednesday slammed the door and locked it, cutting Enid off.

When Wednesday emerged Enid sat on her bed and rushed over to apologize. "It's fine Enid." Wednesday said offhandedly. "Okay..." Enid told her skeptically. "But you could've told me. I'm here for you too." "I did just tell you." Wednesday reasoned. "Yeah but you can talk to me." Enid countered.

"Enid I'm talking to you. But I have class. You have class." Wednesday reminded her as she grabbed her things, "I'll see you later." And with that Wednesday left and shut the door behind her.

She left so quickly she did not hear Enid's desperate whisper, "stop closing me off."

"We've been talking a lot about the History of Outcasts here in this class, and I'm so glad you all seem very interested." Professor Moore spoke, grinning widely and flashing his fangs. Professor Moore was a favourite among the girls at Nevermore. His Vampire charm seemed to do the same as Edward Cullens from Twilight, which made Wednesday want to gag. He wore Salvatore brow line framed sunglasses, and had his black hair slicked black with the occasional loose hair that dangled in front of his forehead, to make things worse he wore a suit everyday opposed to the casual wear the other teachers wore.

Wednesday always overheard Bianca and her group fangirling over him. His smile, his jawline, how he ran his fingers through his hair during lessons. It was honestly sickening, and not in a pleasurable way.

But he was a good professor, which was why Wednesday treated him with no difference than she did the others. "As all of you know, we're in very close cahoots with the Normie town Jericho. And funnily enough, Nevermore isn't the only reason why." Professor Moore began.

"Outcasts have been around for quite a long time. And we were here when the first pilgrims arrived in 1623. Where we tried to live harmoniously. But Normies couldn't accept us back then as they do now." That earned some grumbles from the class. "They gathered all of the outcasts in the meeting house and burned them alive." Professor Moore spoke solemnly.

Gasps erupted and shocked expressions followed, "Now now, we must not hold this against all Normies. The ones in Jericho are not the same ones that did this. I'm not teaching you this just so you can go and start a riot. But from the burning meeting house emerged a witch. A psychic. And the ancestor of one of the students we have in our class right now. Can anyone tell me who that is?"

"Goody Addams!" Gasped Maria from beside Wednesday. They had sat down at the same table. "Yes! Goody Addams! Well done Miss Sweless!" Exclaimed professor Moore. The whole class turned to look at their table, surprised by Maria's knowledge and Wednesday's clear relation to the lesson.

Maria's pale skin turned pink as she visibly crumpled in on herself just a bit, as if she was going to shrink so much she became invisible. She wasn't used to all of this attention.

Professor Moore continued on, "Yes, Goody Addams escaped from the Meeting House and formed a secret society with other outcasts to fight back against the pilgrims. She also had her own book, Goody's book of shadows, it currently resides in the Meeting House at Pilgrim World. It's rumoured to have many spells and incantations, such as talking with the dead and even bringing them back to life!"

"Anyway, Goody was not only a powerful outcast but she also started a secret society which I previously mentioned, the Nightshades. And they together under Goody's leadership defeated Joseph Crackstone." Professor Moore continued.

A student raised their hand, "the same Joseph Crackstone that founded Nevermore?" Asked the student. Professor Moore nodded, "The very same." Whispers began around the classroom, what a dark secret this was.
